Android: Always switch to the strongest wifi network

If at home or in the office you have two or more wifi networks available to access to connect to the internet from your smartphone, it would not be useful for the mobile phone to be able to choose and automatically connect to the network that takes better "> Android app to find better wifi networks wireless reception
There are several applications to choose from for this particular need.
One of these is Wifi Switcher, app released in 2016, which works without requiring root access, which supports 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz networks, leaving the phone always connected to the best available wifi network.
On the first start, if you are using a smartphone with Android Marshmallow version or higher, you will have to grant permission to Wifi Switcher to access the location.
Unfortunately, this permission is required due to an Android bug that does not allow applications to detect Wi-Fi networks without accessing the location of the phone.
However, after starting the app, you will see all the networks to which you can connect and just tick the box next to set the preferred ones to connect to when the signal is available.
From now on, the Wifi Switcher will ensure that the device only connects to your favorite networks.
Then go to the settings of the app (touching the three dots at the top) to configure the " Switch Range ", ie the signal level below which you have to look for a network that takes better.
It is practically a distance limit to be configured according to the location of the access points in the home or office, to say how far you are willing to go before moving on to the strongest network.
In general, you can keep the limit on one or two bars and experiment to find the best configuration.
Another app, much more popular, which can be used for the same purpose is Wifi Manager which in the settings allows you to activate the Switch to the best network option, with the possibility to give preference to 5 GHz networks, to choose the limit minimum below which to disconnect to a weak wifi network and also the minimum signal level to connect to a new favorite wifi network available.
From now on, the phone or tablet will only connect to the group of favorite networks and Android will not try to connect to weak wifi networks.
