The beta version of the new Opera Browser 15 for Windows and Mac has been released, completely different from the previous version and, above all, which separates the browser from the Opera Mail e-mail client which now becomes a separate program . In the current version of Opera, the e-mail client is integrated into the browser so few use it.
Now that instead the program to receive Email comes as a separate download and installation, it becomes an excellent alternative to add to the list of the best alternative programs to Microsoft Outlook to read the mail from the PC
The Opera Mail email client is updated with a clean and beautiful interface.
The main panel allows easy access to all received emails and news and is very convenient to read and to send messages quickly.
It shows a series of predefined " views " to access messages more efficiently.
On the left side is the summary of unread and received messages and all the various folders.
By pressing the wrench in the upper right side you can change the layout and way of viewing the messages.
By pressing on the main menu, on the Opera Mail button at the top left, go to Messages to find out the reduced band mode that sets the program to use as little band as possible when enabled.
This function is ideal, for example, to synchronize new messages without downloading attachments unless required and is useful if you are connected to the internet with limited subscriptions.
In the main menu you can also configure the accounts, the contacts directory and the configuration and import preferences.
You will notice that Opera Mail can be used as a program to receive news from sites and blogs via RSS feeds by having an integrated Feed reader .
The toolbar at the top shows the buttons for common Email actions and therefore allows you to write and send a new message, reply, forward etc.
When viewing a message, you can reply quickly or mark it as read or spam.
Each message can also be labeled to organize emails into folders.
A new message is immediately saved between the Drafts and then, if it is sent, it is moved to the sent list.
In this regard, with Opera Mail it is possible to send a message even with the offline computer not connected to the internet .
From the main menu, go to Settings and then click on " Work Offline ".
Sent messages remain in the Outbox folder until the computer returns online.
There is also a very convenient option to make a quick reply that allows you to write and reply without having to open the writing window in a separate tab.
To enable quick responses, press the wrench in the upper right corner.
The response field appears below the open message.
Opera Mail can remain running on the computer even in hidden mode, by pressing the red and white envelope icon that appears at the bottom right next to the clock on Windows.
When new messages arrive a notification will appear on the desktop.

During the installation you can choose the path and language of the program which is also in Italian .
Always in the installation procedure you can choose to import mail and Email accounts from other programs such as Thunderbird or Outlook.
In the configuration of the mail account it is enough to choose whether to use POP or IMAP and then the sending and receiving servers should be configured automatically (although in some cases changes may be required).
