Due to the repeated hacker attacks the companies responsible for the most used services in the world such as Google, Yahoo, Microsoft and Facebook are looking for systems that allow users not to lose access to their account and recover it in case of compromise. For example, for Google there is two-step verification and double protection is also for the Microsoft account and Outlook.
With Facebook you can enable a different protection system, with security code and access approval for the Facebook login, already explained some time ago.
Now Facebook has introduced another tool of Trusted Contacts or " Trusted Contacts " that allows you to configure trusted friends to whom you can ask for help in order to recover the account in case it is stolen by some hacker.

The idea is to choose some friends on Facebook that you trust blindly and who are not too unwary in using Facebook who can help you recover your account if you cannot access it.
Even if you have to choose trusted and known friends in reality, it would be better if they are not too unwary (I would never put my mother as a reliable contact because I know that he would not be able to follow the recovery instructions).
Most importantly, they must be reachable outside of Facebook .
So if you can no longer access the account because it has been compromised, in the recovery procedure you can ask Facebook to send a code to trusted trusted contacts so that then, verbally, they can communicate it to the person who lost the account.
It must be admitted that this mode is truly particular, safe but complicated: the recovery code must come from at least three trusted people and not just one of them.
To choose the trusted contacts go to the Settings page by pressing the gear icon at the top right and then move to the Protection section to find the " Trusted contacts " function.

From the security section you can add trusted Contacts .
Up to 5 trusted friends or trusted contacts can be added, but not less than three.
They obviously have to be friends on Facebook.
Trusted contacts are displayed on Facebook's security settings page and can be changed at any time.
