As mentioned several times, the main issue of Facebook and one of the reasons for unsubscribing is the privacy issue. Although most people are on Facebook, many still do not want to sign up or not use it to avoid being found by old friends or work colleagues who have no interest in seeing and not to share anything that ends up in the public domain .
In reality, however, Facebook, even if it collects everyone's information, provides (almost) all the tools to avoid being found and to share photos and thoughts in private, so that they are visible only to some selected people.
In the past we have talked about how to keep the Facebook profile private avoiding that the diary is public, now instead we see how not to be found on Facebook by any person, to remain hidden in searches and not to appear in friendship suggestions .
The options to change to hide the profile and name in searches are in the account settings .
Then click the down arrow located at the top right of the page, enter the settings and open the " Privacy " section from the menu on the left.
At the center of the page you will see three options under the title " who can look for me"> In order not to be found you can change all three options thus avoiding being searched by non-friends for the email address with which you registered, from the telephone number and, above all, not to appear in the search engine .
The latter option removes our profile page from Google, Bing, Yahoo and other search engines .
Also on the same page, at the top, you can make sure that future status updates and published photos are visible only to friends and you can limit, in one fell swoop, the privacy of past posts if they were visible to everyone.
In the privacy settings, you can also make sure that no one can request our friendship, which is useful in order not to appear in the suggestions and not be overwhelmed with requests that would still be refused.
The question now is: But if someone registered on Facebook searches for our name on the Facebook search engine itself, does it find me?
The answer is yes.
There is no way to exclude a profile from the Facebook search, so anyone who wants to find us can always do it if, however, he is a member himself.
Obviously you cannot know who visits our profile and if they found guides who say they can do it, they are scams.
At this point therefore it is necessary to set the visibility of personal information so that it is visible only to friends.

In the end the only things that you can't really hide from everyone are the name, the profile photo and the cover photo.
Some might think not to be found by putting a fake name.
In reality this can be a mistake because Facebook wants people to use the real name, therefore, if someone were to report us as a fake profile, the risk is to be banned and not able to access their account anymore.

The only ways to make a profile unsearchable on Facebook are:

- block some specific people on Facebook so that they can no longer open our page or find us in searches.
