How to get a PEC email address (certified mail)

Having a certified e-mail box ( PEC ) that allows you to communicate via email with the public administration and send important documents with certification of sending and receiving, like a fax or a registered letter sent to the post office (therefore it has legal value) .
The sender of the e-mail message obtains a receipt that testifies, in legal terms, the sending of the e-mail and when the recipient reads the message he also obtains the delivery receipt.
Nobody in a nutshell can receive a PEC and pretend not to have received it: the PEC system itself keeps track of every email sent, so it's not possible to be smart
Even in the event that the sender should lose these receipts, they can be recovered by the computer system that keeps them for 30 months.
But the certified mail box is free "> PEC app to receive certified mail from iPhone and Android
Normal email or PEC?
The PEC is not advisable to use it for personal reasons such as, for example, Gmail or Outlook, it is advisable to use it only to send communications, documents and registered mail to the public administration or professional activities without having to resort to the post office to make a registered letter or in a stationery with active Fax service.
So while on the one hand we will have our dear classic email with which to send anything that does not require legal certification of the sending of the content, for the documents that we must deliver to the municipality, the region or any other state entity (but also if we have to send cards to a lawyer, a notary, an engineer or architect etc) we can use the PEC, so as to know that the document has been correctly sent and read.
If you are looking for the PEC address of a public administration, you can find on this page all the public and administrative offices with which it is possible to communicate via PEC.
The best PEC email addresses with free trial period or low prices
In this part of the guide we will show you the best sites in which to register a PEC certified e-mail box .
Once upon a time it was possible to sign up for PEC service offered free of charge by the state, but today it is no longer possible so we will have to use a PEC service that offers at least a free trial period or a very low price, so that we can use it only when necessary, even using all the services (as soon as the promotional period of a service expires, we can pass to the next and so on).
For this guide we will choose only the most accredited services, simple and easy to configure, so that we can immediately use the PEC e-mail box to send important documents to the public administration or to any other activity that requires sending documents with certification of the sending and receiving.
1) Register.it

One of the almost completely free PECs that we can try is the one offered by the Register.it service, which offers a PEC with 2 GB of personal space with a 6-month free trial, a really long time to use for free if we have to send and receive certified documents through PEC.
At the end of the trial period we can keep the PEC active by paying € 2.08 per month, not even an excessive amount if compared with the costs of a registered letter or the costs of sending a fax.
We can register our PEC with this service here -> Register.it .
2) Legalmail

Another very convenient PEC that we can sign up for is Legalmail, which offers all users a 6-month free trial without obligation.
We will thus be able to send and receive email in PEC format without any problem for the promotional period, then decide whether to continue or not.
At the end of the promotional period, the PEC will cost € 25 plus VAT per year for the basic plan with 5 GB of space in the box plus many other additional services that will make our PEC at the forefront.
We can register our PEC with this service here -> Legalmail .
3) Aruba PEC

Among the most used providers at the moment to open a new PEC email box is certainly Aruba, which offers the basic PEC at the very competitive cost of € 5 per year (plus taxes).
If we have to open a PEC and have to use it for a long time, paying only € 5 a year is definitely an excellent compromise, even if the limitations are evident (only 1 GB of space offered and little else).
If we want to save as much as possible, we can activate Aruba PEC here -> Aruba PEC .
4) Kolst

Another very convenient service to activate a PEC mailbox is offered by Kolst, a very reliable provider that provides its PEC with many additional services (many more than those offered by Aruba) at the price of € 5 per year (excluded taxes).
Even if the box has only 1 GB of space, however, we will have email alert service included, the possibility of receiving normal emails together with PEC, antivirus and Webmail included.
We can register our PEC with this service here -> Kolst .
5) Mail Pec

If we are looking for an inexpensive and fast PEC provider to configure for all the messages we send and receive, one of the best is definitely Libero's Mail Pec.
At the cost of € 9.90 per year we will have a PEC box with 1 GB of space included, unlimited sending and great security and quality of service.
We can register our PEC with this service here -> Mail Pec .
6) Postecert

The Italian Post Office also offers a PEC service reserved for users interested in a certified safe and quality e-mail box.
The service calls Postecert and it is possible to subscribe from € 5.50 per year plus VAT, but the basic service is really very limited with an email box of only 100MB and only 200 mailings per day (the competition certainly offers a lot of more at similar prices).
By adding paid options you can bring the box to 1 GB and you can choose the duration period (1, 2 or 3 years) in any case.
There is certainly better around, but if we want to use all the services of the Post Office we can subscribe to Postecert from here -> Postecert .
