Share music and mp3 with Skype, in audio and video call

With this article we give space to slightly more romantic readers; those who have always preferred to share a moment rather than a link, although this moment must be, due to force majeure, a virtual experience.
There are in fact many commitments and responsibilities that, unfortunately, sometimes physically distance us from loved ones.
Apart from the not always convenient mobile phone, the Internet, with the various messengers or social networks or e-mails, remains the most important means of communication to keep in touch with the world, not just by speaking.
Skype is the most specialized and popular messenger for computer-to-computer or telephone calls, in audio and video calling.
With Skype it is possible, through a free plugin, not only to speak or see yourself on video but also to share listening to a song or any mp3 recording .
What better tool to frame a relaxed conversation with someone than a beautiful song in the background "> PrettyMay Call recorder for Skype offers all these opportunities completely free of charge.
In fact, you can share any audio content in MP3 through Skype's VoIP channels .
PrettyMay is also an answering machine, complete with auto-answer and a call-recorder limited to 15-minute recordings (see other free ways to record conversations and phone calls in Skype).
When opening PrettyMay shows a fairly clean interface, made up of the 6 main keys and three tabs: Voice messages, Call log and Shared music .
The classic file menus, tools etc ... are hidden, but can still be accessed from the icon in the upper right with the arrow indicating the presence of a drop-down menu.
1) The first tab is the one for the answering machine function .
It is in fact here that we will find the voice messages of those who called us while we were away from the PC, leaving the program the responsibility of the program to answer for us (default setting).
Those who try to call us will receive a chat message from PrettyMay (customizable from the settings) with which they will invite the caller to listen to the voice message after the acoustic signal, as happens in a typical answering machine.
At the end of the registration, a new text in chat (also customizable) will inform that the procedure has been successfully completed.
The list of missed calls will be visible at any time and you can listen to the messages left on the answering machine.
2) The second tab contains the recordings of our calls.
In fact, every time we start a call with Skype, PrettyMay asks us if we want to record it and, in this case, save the result here.
All the files are in MP3 format which by default are saved in specific folders on our hard disk and therefore can be listened to with Winanp or WMP and modified with programs such as Audacity to cut it or to extract the most important parts.
3) The third tab is for sharing audio files in general and also for music .
By opening it and clicking inside it with the right button we will see the option " add file ", through which we will navigate our hard-disk in search of the file to share.
Attention because audio sharing is not automatic, for it to work we will first have to start playing the song and immediately after press the green icon with the musical note at the bottom right, otherwise we will hear only us (which is still convenient if we want to hear music for made our own without opening additional media players).
The latest features of PrettyMay that we report with this article are the sending of the program notifications via sms or e-mail and memos .
By configuring everything from the settings, it will be possible to ask the software to send us an sms or an email when receiving calls or chat messages.
Instead, memos are annotations that we can associate with each recording, for example to better remember its content.
What I liked about this program is the possibility of being able to listen to music and songs with someone, while chatting, by voice, on video or in chat, without having to send any mp3 and no link (see then how to share music from your PC uploading it to the internet), the audio goes directly from my computer, to its speakers!
Skype seems the only program and online service capable of allowing this audio streaming feature during a phone call between computers, if you know other methods, let them know immediately.
