10 programs that you must uninstall on every Windows PC

The problem of Windows PCs is not the Microsoft system, but the lack of control that leads on the one hand PC manufacturers to sell computers already full of useless programs and on the other the fact that less experienced users are inclined to install, intentionally or even involuntarily, programs that not only serve no purpose but can also be harmful.
The latter is the case, above all, of those sponsor programs that are accompanied with free software downloaded from the internet, which rely on the little experience of users to install themselves even without consent.
We've already talked about unnecessary programs on Windows that you don't need to use .
In this case we see 10 programs that, if present on any Windows PC, it is better to remove and uninstall immediately .
NOTE: to uninstall the programs from the PC the quickest method is to go to the Control Panel and press on Uninstall a program or on Programs and features .
The list of programs is the one to scroll through to find everything you don't need and uninstall.
If you were wondering what to uninstall and what not, just ask yourself two questions: " have I ever used this program"> may I need it in the future? ".
If the answer is NO to both, whatever it is, you shouldn't be afraid to remove that program.
This is true for everything, except for software environments such as Visual C ++ that have Microsoft as their author and those related to the drivers of the video, audio and printer card (if you do not know what they are, first use a program to check the computer hardware and recognize names).
If in doubt, you can safely uninstall these 10 programs without any problem, to lighten your PC, to recover space and memory, to get rid of unnecessary burdens.
1) Microsoft Silverlight
Until recently, numerous plugins were installed on web browsers to display animated content and videos.
It turned out that these plugins are full of bugs that make it easy for any malware to act undisturbed.
For this reason, today, all browser plugins must be removed (for now all except Flash Player) also because, thanks to the new HTML5 technology, all streaming videos can be viewed without plugins.
I don't know how many sites still require Silverlight, but if possible, you might as well ignore them and uninstall Silverlight.
Further proof that it's not safe is that Chrome no longer supports Silverlight.
2) Java
Like Silverlight, Java also needs to be uninstalled.
Java is a software environment that includes two components: Java on the desktop and Java plug-in for browsers (known for having unresolved security issues).
The use of Java on websites is now much reduced, so much so that with a browser like Chrome it doesn't even work.
Java desktop is instead an annoying program because it always remains in the background to check for new updates.
Clearly if you are using an old Java program or a corporate web application that requires it, there is no choice and you have to keep it.
If you don't want to uninstall, you can simply deactivate Java and reactivate it if necessary.
3) Shockwave Player
Adobe Flash Player is slowly dying and sooner or later it will really be banned due to all the security problems it brings.
At the moment, however, it cannot be removed because it is widespread on video and game sites.
Adobe Shockwave Player, on the other hand, is a different thing, which is no longer necessary.
Shockwave Player allows you to view content created with Adobe Director and is used very little.
Just be aware that some browsers like Firefox use the name "Shockwave Flash" to mean Flash Player.
4) Toolbar and malicious extensions
While until a few years ago the toolbars were the damnation of web browsers, today Chrome and Firefox completely block them, so there should be no more problems (Internet Explorer for which the Google Toolbar is also useless).
Check anyway if in the program list there are things like the Bing Bar, ASK, Babylon, Yahoo Toolbar or other tools even if coming from the antivirus (like AVG Web TuneUp)
Adware extensions, however, may still be present on browsers, and function as spy data collection for advertising purposes.
To check that these adware are not present, it is better to use an automatic tool like ADWCleaner.
5) Skype Click and call
Another Microsoft junk program is Skype Click to Call, which is, in fact, a toolbar.
Click to Call allows you to click on the phone numbers in the browser to call them with Skype, but it becomes really annoying if you do not intend to use the PC to make calls.
6) Windows Live Mail
The Microsoft Windows Live Essentials suite dates back to 2012, but still contains surprisingly good programs like Photo Gallery and Video Maker that still work really well today.
Other programs, however, are now obsolete such as Family Safety, while Windows Live Mail is no longer supported by Microsoft and therefore remains exposed to security problems.
7) PC Cleaner
Cleaner-type programs, those for cleaning the PC from obsolete files, are rather illusory because, in reality, they do not record any improvement in the performance of the computer and only go to delete files that Windows will be forced to create again.
As we have learned, operations to clean the PC if it is slow can also be performed without external programs.
The only PC cleaner that is still worth using is Ccleaner, the most used to clean up Windows.
8) QuickTime
QuickTime is not only a superfluous program because there are clearly better alternatives, but it has also become a dangerous program due to security bugs that Apple, in the Windows version, has no intention of correcting.
Therefore, as written in April 2016, it is time to remove Quicktime forever from the PC.
9) All programs pre-installed by the PC manufacturer (be it Acer, Asus, Toshiba, HP, Lenovo etc.)
Unfortunately when you buy a new laptop this is already full of junk with unnecessary programs installed by the manufacturer.
Personally I always remove them all and although some may be theoretically interesting, they still remain superfluous because there are clearly better alternatives.
All programs whose author is the PC manufacturer, must therefore be removed (being careful not to remove programs to use the printer).
In addition, you must always uninstall the "get Office" program and the antivirus in trial mode (like McAfee).
In the latest version of Windows 10, you can clean your PC of all programs and apps at once, to really reset everything and have your computer new and empty.
10) Apps pre-installed with Windows 10
Windows 10, in its installation, includes useless apps that are visible from the Start menu and not from the list of programs.
Among these are Xbox, Twitter, 3D Builder, Candy Crush Saga Soda, Download Skype, Get Office and several others that really are of no use.
To uninstall these apps, open the Start menu, right-click on the application card and then click on Uninstall .
With this article I have to decline any responsibility in case of removal of important or vital programs for the PC.
However, you can rest assured, because even if you delete all the programs installed on your PC by the Windows uninstaller (without ever deleting files or folders by hand), there will never be problems with the functioning of the computer.
Furthermore, in the case of errors, you can always download the program you need by searching it on the internet.
In case of doubt, automatic tools can always be used to remove unnecessary programs from the PC
