What's gone and disappears in Windows 10

With each new version of the Windows operating system, Microsoft, based on user usage data, decides to improve, add or even remove a feature.
We had therefore noticed which features of Windows 7 had been removed in Windows 8.
Since Windows 10 is now ready, you can do the same thing to find out, before doing the free upgrade to Windows 10, what will be lost if you are using a Windows 7 or Windows 8 PC (remember that the update it does not erase anything on the PC and does not require disk formatting).
In this post we therefore see the list of features that have been removed or overshadowed in Windows 10 compared to previous versions.
It is good to know what is no longer in Windows 10 also to avoid bitter surprises after the update.

1) Windows Media Center has been completely removed
If you are using Windows Media Center on Windows 7 (Ultimate, Home or Professional) or if you have Windows 8.1 Pro with Media Center, keep in mind that after upgrading to Windows 10 Media Center it will disappear.
Alternatively there are alternative programs to Windows Media Center certainly up to par and even better.
2) The historic and now antiquated Windows Media Player does not disappear, but becomes a secondary program and not to be used anymore.
This program will not be updated and will lose the function of playing DVDs in Windows 10.
It is therefore recommended to download and install another program among the best Media Players to watch movies and videos on the PC .
3) Windows 10 does not play DVDs
If you need to watch DVD on your computer, you will need to download an additional program, to be chosen from the list of Media Players in the previous point.
4) Change Windows Update to Windows 10 Home version
If you upgrade to the Home version of Windows 10, you will no longer have the option to configure Windows Update in a personalized way.
The operating system will automatically download and install updates and patches.
In the other versions, however, the updates may be deferred.
5) No more desktop gadgets
Windows 7 users will suffer from the lack of desktop gadgets, already disappeared in Windows 8 and considered as they have been removed in Windows 10.
6) Windows Virtual PC with XP Mode will be removed and, I believe, it is now obsolete stuff for everyone.
7) No more floppy disks
Windows 10 has removed support for using an old floppy disk drive.
If you still need it, you will have to download the driver manually from the manufacturer's site or from the Windows Update site.
8) Windows Live Essentials no longer exists, however the Mail app will be installed in Windows 10 to receive and send emails and attachments and the Photos app to view and edit photos and videos.
9) Some Windows 7 games have been canceled in Windows 10 such as Solitaire, Minefield (or Flowery Meadow) and Hearts.
You can still download them from the Windows Store.
10) The Charms Bar, that button bar that appears in Windows 8.1 by moving the mouse to the right, has been hidden and can only be used by activating it again.
