Do not be tracked online by websites by blocking the collection of personal data

Internet advertising allows site owners to keep their job online, update web application programs and blogs, and also earn a lot when the site becomes popular and sought after.
It's no mystery that some sites abuse online advertising and re-twirl their pages with banners of various types, including those that track visitor habits.
Javascript codes and other technologies can be vehicles of aggressive direct marketing, which collect information by leaving tracing files on computers, without the knowledge of users, which store online activities for statistics on preferences and people.
For the collection of such information there is no notice or request for permission.
However, any user can, if they wish, not be tracked online and prevent the monitoring of these cookies in order not to allow advertising and marketing companies to collect information on internet browsing through the opt-out methods .

To understand what I'm saying, you can try browsing some travel sites or search for houses or mortgages or cars.
After seeing a few of these sites, try going back to Google search or a blog like Navigaweb.net and note that the advertising on the right side will cover houses, cars, mortgages and so on.
This is because Google advertising, as well as search, is personalized according to the interests of the user.
They are collected anonymously and allow you to view personalized advertisements and advertisements.
As proof of what I say, just use Firefox or Chrome and install the Lightbeam plugin that I wrote in the post "Privacy anti-tracking of clicks on Google, Facebook and Youtube" that allows you to see, in real time, the sites and advertising agencies that collect data.
Leaving aside the extreme solutions such as the use of add-ons and browser extensions that completely prevent the display of advertising, it could be much more advantageous to prevent only the tracking of the cookie so as to remain private and not leave information to external companies' sites .
1) A very protective opt-out option would be to install an extension like Ghostery for all browsers, which shows the user which tracer codes are present on the web pages.
A simpler option, without using additional components and without any external program, is that of the opt-out cookie which excludes all the tracking of advertising circuits .
2) Privacy Badger is an extension for Firefox and Chrome of the Electronic Frontier Foundation to put an end to unauthorized monitoring by websites and online services.
What sets it apart from other extensions like Disconnect, Adblock Plus and Ghostery is the fact that it is much less invasive.
3) Another program for Internet Explorer, Chrome and Firefox is TrackerBlock which prevents advertising networks and websites from tracking and recording personal data .
It works in three ways:
- Whenever you make a request to a website, you send a signal that tells the website not to track the visit.
- The so-called opt-out cookies that are used by websites, services and advertising agencies to track the user, are deactivated.
- View companies that use HTML5 to store data on the system, with the ability to delete that data manually.
4) Do Not Trak Plus for Firefox and Chrome is an add-on that blocks the tracking of data on the main networks and advertising sites.
It blocks the loading of external advertising javascript, banners and social buttons.
5) Another site that allows you to choose which online advertising can be personalized and which is not AboutAds .
6) ScriptSafe for Chrome and NoScript Security for Firefox are two stronger solutions that disable all the external scripts present on the sites, including therefore also the advertisements even if it also prevents the loading of any site mechanisms.
7) NAI Opt-out is a tool that works on all browsers including Internet Explorer, allows you to exclude the tracking of associated advertising companies .
It is sufficient to check the box relating to the advertising circuit to which you want to renounce so that their ads can no longer be personalized as data collection from the web browser will be prevented.
This does not mean that online advertising will no longer be viewed but only that such advertising will not be personalized for the user and will remain generalist.
The most important thing for some people is that privacy remains protected and is, in fact, an express refusal to participate in statistics and automated marketing campaigns.
8) Always open sites in HTTPS is an extension that allows you to be sure not to fall into the traps of fake sites and not to leave traces in the compilation of fields such as the one to do searches.
In other articles, how to maintain privacy with Chrome, how to navigate in security and privacy with Firefox and the Security and privacy options on Internet Explorer, monitoring protection and smartscreen filter which, surprisingly, becomes the most private browser among all.
