Adware, i.e. unwanted / advertising software, is a bit like insects in the home, harmless in itself, but terribly annoying as well as ugly to look at. Adware, unless they have espionage purposes for activities on the computer (and therefore become spyware that are viruses in all respects), are not security threats, but they can create problems of various kinds.
An adware can show us strange things on the screen, change browser settings, make advertising banners appear everywhere, icons of unwanted programs, continuous invitations to purchase other programs and starting processes that automatically slow down Windows.
Unfortunately adware is now everywhere, just download a free program from the internet (All download sites (Softonic, Download.com etc.) install unwanted programs) and they are also already installed on new computers in the form of trial programs that expire or from links advertising (READ ALSO: How do you get a new PC without junk and adware "> Adware Removal tool", ie a program that we are going to mention, all free, very effective, safe, to always keep at hand and to be used at least once every two months.

1) ADWCleaner
This is certainly the most effective, fastest, easiest and most specialized program for deleting and removing unwanted adware and programs.
Just download it from the official website, run it without installation and run a scan to find everything you need to delete.
As seen ADWCleaner is also perfect for removing viruses from Chrome, Firefox IE when slow or with too much advertising.
You really can't help but keep a copy of ADWCleaner on your PC or, even better, on our emergency USB stick.
2) Ultra Adware Killer
This is a newer, less popular, but very good free program to eliminate all adware from your computer in one go.
Again just run it without installation, start it for a quick scan and select the items to be deleted.
The program also makes a reset of the browser settings, which, unless serious problems, should be disabled (after the scan) to avoid losing the custom settings.
3) Spybot
This is another popular program, described and explained in a specific article, bigger than the two above because it specializes in removing spyware.
Personally I don't use it, but its scan is really complete and it also has an immunization function to prevent any known problem.
4) Superantispyware
Better than Spybot is this Superantispyware, already described in the past, which can be downloaded in a portable version without installation.
It is a malware and spyware scanner similar, also for performance and quality, to the well-known Malwarebytes Antimalware so as to be considered an alternative to the height and a second opinion necessary when you are trying to remove a virus.
Scans are obviously slower than those of ADWCleaner or Adware Killer which are specialized tools.
With this program, however, you can do a security check across the board, including spyware and adware.
5) Reason Core Security program to find and clean viruses and malware on the PC is a very welcome novelty of 2015 that works effectively in eliminating adware completely.
6) G DATA Clean Up is a specialized program to remove unwanted PUPs or software and adware.
The program is completely automatic and its detection capability is powered by the famous G Data antivirus, a guarantee of reliability.
