Unless Windows was manually installed from scratch, if the PC was bought already installed and ready it can have a random username and computer name, like "user1" or worse.
If previously we have seen how to change the computer name, in this simple guide we see how to change the user name in Windows 7, Windows 8 and Windows 10, how to change the access password and also how to change the image or the recognition photo account to replace the default Windows account.
1) Change username and password in Windows 10
In Windows 10 and Windows 8.1, unlike previous versions, the computer account may be tied to a Microsoft account .
In this case, you can change the image and password for both accounts from Windows while the name can only be changed from the Microsoft account management site.
These changes are made, in Windows 10, by going to the Start menu and then to Settings -> Accounts .
On the main page you can edit the account image by pressing the Browse button.
In the Access Options section, on the other hand, you can change the password for logging in to Windows.
The name, as mentioned, requires an online change to the Microsoft account management page //account.microsoft.com/.
If instead you are using a local account, then you can also change the name directly from the Windows options, by opening the Control Panel, in the User Accounts section.
