Combine all email addresses into one on Outlook.com

The new Outlook.com email service to read and send email from the internet not only works with a Hotmail or Outlook email account but also allows you to view emails from all other email accounts in a single mailbox and to send messages from other email addresses.
Those who use multiple e-mail boxes, can combine them together in Outlook.com which provides a new web interface among the most modern or in Gmail which still remains the number one web mail application for functionality and features.
As for Gmail I had already written a guide to import and manage other Email accounts in Gmail .
For Outlook.com the process is similar and allows to transform the normal webmail mailbox into a powerful single interface suitable for all e-mail needs.
First of all, an email alias can be created on Outlook.com.
Enter Outlook.com, click on the wheel at the top right and enter More options .
Under account management, click on " Create alias "
By creating an alias you can get a new Email address associated with that account for free.
Mail received at that email address can be organized in a separate folder.
You can register as an alias any email address that is not already busy and there are no limits to the usable aliases.
In another article we saw how to create aliases in Hotmail and Yahoo Mail to not receive spam
If you have one or more different email accounts, you can receive all the messages that are received from these addresses in Outlook.com .
You have to use automatic forwarding from these addresses to one of those registered in the Outlook.com account, which can happen almost immediately.
Unfortunately, not all email accounts support email forwarding (although they should).
In another guide I explained precisely how to set up automatic forwarding on Gmail and Hotmail to another address and since Outlook.com is the new Hotmail, the procedure is the same.
Outlook.com however has a pick-up mode, ideal when you have another email account that cannot automatically forward messages to other addresses.
It works with any email account that supports the POP3 standard protocol .
After setting up email recovery, Outlook.com automatically checks the other email account to see if new messages have arrived and picks them up for delivery in the main interface of the Microsoft web-client, just like a program like Microsoft would Outlook or Thunderbird.
E-mail recovery has some limitations: maximum 50 messages, which are picked up every 30 minutes.
If you receive more than 50 messages in 30 minutes, the excess will be taken on the next shift.
For this reason, forwarding mail remains the fastest solution and this remains a second possibility when forwarding is not possible.
To set up the recovery of e-mail from another address you need to open Outlook.com, enter Other Options and then click on Send / receive emails from other accounts under Account Management .
Under the heading " You can receive messages from these accounts ", add another account indicating your login username and password.
Outlook.com will try to automatically determine the POP3 mail server settings, but you can also click on Advanced Options to enter the server information.
You will be asked to receive the email in your main Outlook.com email box or in a specific folder .
To finish the procedure, you will need to click on a confirmation link that is received at the forwarded address.
Up to four different POP3 accounts can be added to Outlook.com to combine 4 different addresses into one, receiving all mail in the same Outlook.com interface.
In the same tab of options Sending / receiving e-mail messages from other accounts, there is also the possibility to set the same or other e-mail addresses with which to send e-mails from Outlook.com .
So if you receive a message at the old address like, you can then reply with this same address, without ever leaving Outlook.com.
When setting an address with POP3, it is automatically set also in the sending section.
If not, provide the email address from which you want to send the mail and click the verify button.
The circle is now closed, therefore, in summary : you create an alias (optional), configure automatic forwarding on the addresses to be combined in Outlook.com, set up reception in separate folders, and set the same addresses to reply or send new messages.
In this way you can unify all the email addresses by combining the various accounts within the excellent Outlook.com which, like Gmail, is the best online email service .
