Automatic night mode on Android

Night mode is a very important feature that is now present in many smartphone models, which helps not to fry the eyes when using the smartphone at night or in environments without light.
For example, starting from one of the latest iOS system updates, you can activate night mode on iPhone and iPad for reading in the dark.
In fact, the screen brightness is automatically lowered after a certain time of day and instead returns to high in the early morning, when the sun rises.
On Android, however, this possibility is missing (Although on some mobile models you can find the option of the night light filter in the display settings) and you need to install an external app like Midnight (Night Mode), which works perfectly and which I really recommend everyone to install immediately.
Midnight (Night Mode) is a free application for Android that does not require root and that has no advertising inside it, compatible with all versions of Android from 2.3.3 and up.
The main purpose of Midnight is to reduce the brightness of the screen automatically at a certain time and to reduce this brightness even below the minimum allowed by the Android controls.
All its functions are collected in two configuration pages that appear when you open the application.
In the first screen you can choose a color to be used as a filter on the screen and the level of lowering of the brightness, as a percentage of the phone's default minimum.
If you leave 100%, the brightness when you activate night mode is the minimum default of the phone, if instead you put 80% or less, it goes below the minimum.
Swiping right opens a set of three options on how to activate the night filter: manually, automatically or when scheduled.
The option to be used is the "scheduled" option, that is, with the time schedule to activate it and the one to deactivate it and return to normal brightness.
The Automatic option is certainly interesting and activates the night filter based on the smartphone's brightness sensor.
By tapping the button at the top right you can open the Settings section to disable permanent notification, if you want to hide the application.
In these settings you can also set the minimum brightness of the screen to a lower level than the default one, by 20%, 10% or 5%.
