Android installation CyanogenMod automatic and from PC without root on Galaxy, HTC One and Nexus

CyanogenMod is the most famous Android ROM to replace the pre-installed version with a more customizable and feature-rich Android.
We have already talked about the best custom ROMs including CyanogenMod is the simplest one to install, especially now that CyanogenMod has released an all-inclusive installation package that can be run from the PC to change Android on a Samsung Galaxy, Nexus or HTC One smartphone .
In practice, thanks to this automatic installer, all those difficulties to root Android, to install a recovery console, to then install other zip files and to risk that at the slightest error the phone will bust and not start anymore, are removed and, as happens when you install a Windows operating system on your computer, you get a new mobile phone with the CyanogenMod ROM above instead of the Android pre-installed by HTC or Samsung.
All you have to do is install the CyanogenMod application on both the Android phone and the Windows PC, launch them both and follow the installation wizard that is done automatically, without asking for any root access.
NOTE: This procedure no longer works.
You can follow the normal installation procedure for CyanogenMod .
Installing CyanogenMod should really be simple; however, keep in mind that this will erase the internal memory of the phone (not the SD card) and it would be good to have a backup of the ROM itself to restore the phone to the original version (you can use the ADB command to make the backup)
CyanogenMod can be installed with the automatic installer only on supported devices which, for now, are those belonging to the Google Nexus, Samsung Galaxy and HTC One models that are running the original ROM.
The requirements to install CyanogenMod are only:
Enable USB Debugging in the developers menu
Install the CyanogenMod app for Android (on Google Play it has been removed for now because it does not allow you to go back and jeopardizes the functioning of the mobile phone).
Installation procedure :
Launch CyanogenMod Installer on Android and tap on the ' Begin ' button on the first screen.
The second screen will provide instructions on how to activate Camera mode (PTP) for the USB connection, tap Continue and allow Camera (PTP) on the next screen.
Now launch CyanogenMod Installer on the Windows PC and, if required, update.
Subsequently, the installer will try to detect the device so now you have to connect your smartphone to the PC via USB.
A warning will appear on the device if the installer has been successfully detected.
The program on Windows checks the mobile phone, checks if it is compatible and asks, if it has not been done, to allow USB debugging on the device.
Touch OK on the mobile phone screen and wait for the installer to download the necessary Android ROM files and system applications.
Once everything has been downloaded, you are asked to install the ROM and, having ascertained that there is no data to lose in an unrecoverable way, you can click on Install .
From this point on, the installer restarts the device and performs all the steps necessary for installing CyanogenMod on it and all that remains is to follow the procedure, both on PC and on mobile phone, until the end.
After a few minutes you will get the latest stable version of CyanogenMod, the most customizable Android ROM .
The procedure is simple and painless but not having tried it directly, I must decline any responsibility for any problems.
If you have completed the installation, leave a comment and let us know how it went.
