Remove duplicate mp3s and music tracks from iTunes by updating labels and covers

Music lovers probably already know how difficult it is to manage all the mp3 files on your computer, if you have hundreds or thousands of songs collected.
Most likely then, to keep the music tracks in order, programs are used that automatically update the metadata, that is, information relating to the author, singer, album, genre and so on.
If then all those music are managed through Itunes because they want to listen to their Ipod or Iphone, then confusion can become a problem when you start to find double or duplicate files and non-existent music that have been deleted still present in the Itunes library.
It often happened to me to go to play on a song from Itunes and see the message that that track does not exist come out.
Even if you can manage an Ipod even without Itunes and even if there are better programs to listen to music on your computer, you can find a very useful program that can put things in order, remove duplicates, delete tracks whose file no longer exists and reassign the correct labels and metadata .
Meta-iPod iTunes Cleaner can clean an iTunes library with several Swiss Army knife functions.
Meta-iPod can be used to analyze music file data on your computer, to find possible missing files or folders.
Those who love to see album covers to easily recognize songs on the computer and iPod, can search and download the images of the covers to associate with each music, from the Itunes database.
Above all, the application allows you to locate and remove duplicate tracks in the iTunes library without problems.
To begin, after starting the program, you must press the Start Analyzing Data Sources button and wait for the scan of the music on the computer to be completed.
All the various options are activated only after the data and metadata have been analyzed and are:
- Auto Rating which automates the evaluation, the rating to be given to each track based on how many times it has been listened to.
- No Location Tracks allows you to correct the various track errors present in the iTunes library but no longer existing or present on the computer.
- Lost Tracks is used to search for a song on the PC that is not found in the iTunes library.
To then update the iTunes list with these tracks, just click on Import checked track (s) to iTunes
- By clicking the Fix Duplicate Tracks button you can remove duplicates and tracks seen as similar from the analysis carried out, therefore, even if two files had different names, they could actually be the same song.
Click Auto Suggest tracks to clear the tracks and automatically remove duplicates.
- To customize the display of iTunes tracks with album covers, instead, press the No Album Art Tracks button which starts the search for all the songs without the cover.
In a new window you are asked to update all the tracks of which an image was found in the iTunes online database in one fell swoop.
- Mismatched data allows you to compare the labels and meta tags of the songs with those detectable from the online database, warns if you find that the information is wrong for each individual track and allows you to correct them quickly.
Since meta-iPod is practically all automatic, even if, for safety, it always requires confirmation of the actions it performs, it becomes suitable for all those who want to keep their music compilations in order, even if they are not experts in computer programs.
The application can be downloaded from the official meta-iPod website, supports Windows XP, Windows Vista and Windows 7 and, above all, it is absolutely free and free.
In case you need a program to remove duplicates of music and mp3 files on your computer, regardless of iTunes, you can use Duplicate Music Files Finder (DMFF) or you can use another software called Similarity which is also in Italian. and also updates the labels and metadata for each mp3 track on the computer and on the Windows music library.
