Semi-transparent windows on Windows also of different colors

To make Windows 7 and Windows 10 more colorful and more "modern", you could add a graphic effect that colors the edges of the windows, the taskbar and the Start menu making them chromatically similar to the desktop background . The transparency effect of the Windows 7 and Windows 10 windows, what is called the Aero effect, can be made automatic with a dynamic coloring that changes depending on the position on the screen and the underlying colors.
If you like transparencies then there are some tools to change the transparency of windows, which is useful when working with many programs and many folders together.
First of all let's say that by pressing on the desktop background in Windows 7, going to the Personalization menu, you can change the color of the windows in a fixed way and activate or deactivate transparency .
In Windows 10, by opening the settings and going to the Personalization section, you can activate, in Themes, the Aero Lite theme to have the semitransparent windows. In the Colors section, however, there is the switch that activates the transparency effects and the option to automatically change the color of the menus.
1) Glass8 is a tool for Windows 10, Windows 8 and Windows 7, updated in 2019, that changes the transparent color of the edges of the windows, the start menu and the taskbar automatically . It is an easy-to-use program that works on all editions of Windows that support Aero. Just download the executable program from the site, unzip it into a folder and run the file. Glass8 automatically switches the color scheme to all open windows and you can try the effect or by moving windows one above the other.
I had already mentioned a similar type of program in the past when I talked about AeroWeather which instead changes the Aero color of the windows according to the weather conditions.
2) Windows 7 Color Changer, on the other hand, is one of the programs to automatically rotate the desktop backgrounds which, in addition, also changes the color of the windows and the start menu according to the predominant color of the background itself.
Aero Color Show does the same and automatically changes the backgrounds chosen by the user, also changing the Aero colors in the menus and windows.
3) DWMColorMod is a free portable tool that allows you to adjust the color, saturation, brightness, reflection and color intensity of the edges as well as the transparency of Windows windows. The application has a Reset button, which allows you to restore the settings to the original if you don't like the changes made.
Among the programs on this page, it is the most powerful to customize colors because it has bars to move with the mouse to change the colors and their intensity
4) To change the transparency of the windows instead there are other tools for Windows (any version also Windows XP) such as Vitrite.
Vitrite is a program that allows you to change the transparency of windows, by pressing a chosen combination of keys. Once the application is installed, it is seen active from the system tray near the clock. It offers 10 levels of transparency to adjust the opacity of the windows through a combination of keys CTRL - Shift - number from 0 to 9. 0 refers to the absence of transparency while the 9 makes the window completely transparent and invisible.
5) Similar to Vitrite is See Through Windows which allows you to adjust the transparency of Windows windows through a combination of keys.
6) FreeWhee is the smallest Windows tool available (4 Kb) and allows you to change the transparency or size of the active window, using the mouse wheel. Once the executable has been started (which if you like you can put it into automatic execution), you can rotate the mouse wheel by placing the cursor on the top of a window, to resize it, enlarge it or make it smaller. Holding down the Shift key and using the mouse wheel instead changes the transparency of the active window.
7) Peek Through is instead a small tool that allows you to enable a combination of keys (such as Windows-A) to make a window semi-transparent.
Other nice tools to change the graphics of Windows windows have been described in the post on how to change colors and buttons of windows and on menu bars.
