In this list we see which are the 10 most loved PC programs ever, those which have given the greatest satisfaction to users all over the world and which are also the most popular. As for the most hated, for this list of the top 10 we take into consideration famous names, of those who have made the past history of information technology, both at consumer and professional level. In my opinion, the top 10 programs ever, those that have changed life on some people's computer in some way, are:
1) Photoshop is the professional photo editing program.
Although it is a very expensive and not easy to use software, Photoshop has really changed the rules of photography and printing and there are many professionals and amateurs who create spectacular images, who improve photos and make everyone look more beautiful.
Photoshop has become so popular that the verb "photoshopping" has now entered the Italian vocabulary.

2) Emule was the most used download program in Europe and Italy.
Based on the exchange of files between users in p2p, Emule was the most popular program for its simplicity and for the fact that it found almost everything. Even if Emule still works, the war on piracy has greatly reduced its effectiveness. In this same area, we cannot forget UTorrent, the most loved and most used torrent download program in the world.
For the story, nobody can forget the first of these programs: Napster that allowed to download music and songs for free even from 56Kb modems.
3) VLC Media Player, still the number one program for watching videos on the computer.
Before VLC, to view videos of any format on Windows, you had to use Windows Media Player and download the various necessary codecs. With VLC there is no need to download Codecs and you can see all the videos or movies from your computer with excellent quality and with many customization options.
4) IrfanView is the number one program for viewing photos and images on the PC.
This lesser known program is lightweight and supports viewing of all types of image files on your computer. Simply open an image from a folder and then browse photos quickly using the bar or mouse. Without unnecessary options, it also allows you to make quick changes to photos, crop them, turn them and convert formats.
5) Firefox, the Mozilla browser
In the dark years when you were forced to use Internet Explorer 5.5 or 6, safety was first NetScape and then Firefox.
With Firefox you could and can still install extensions to add functions and navigate by opening different tabs.
It is still the best browser today, on a par with the rising star Google Chrome.
6) Skype was the first program to introduce the free phone call between PCs.
If it is true that the Internet has reduced the distances between different parts of the world, the credit goes above all to programs such as Skype which favored the possibility of making calls using the computer, free or at very low rates, from Europe to America.

When you suspect that your PC has been hit by a virus, even before doing an antivirus scan, it is always better to use Malwarebytes which can be downloaded for free and allows you to carefully check each file and area of the disk.
8) Microsoft Outlook, to receive emails on the PC.
In all offices and in many homes, the mail program has always been Outlook which allows you to manage your mail, your contacts list and your calendar of commitments.

10) MS Paint, the basic drawing program on the computer.
Since Windows existed, the first program that was opened when buying a computer was definitely MS Paint which allows you to draw on the screen using the mouse as if it were a marker.
