From today it is possible to download for free and install on your computer the new Italian version of the Adobe Acrobat Reader DC program . Adobe Reader is the main program to open and read PDF documents (invented by Adobe itself) and the DC version is developed to have full compatibility also with Windows 10, the new Microsoft operating system.
In Adobe Reader DC there are new protection features and program improvements that are certainly appreciable.
In fact, it is now possible to save filled PDF forms on the hard disk so that you can easily fill in the text fields on the documents.
When you receive a PDF then it will no longer be necessary to print it, write on it in pen and then scan it, but you can directly fill out the PDF from your computer, even with the possibility of signing it .
In the Signature section of the right column, you can add a signature as if it were written in pen, writing your name and choosing a style.
By clicking on the " Fill in and sign " drop-down menu, you can select " Draw the signature " and write your name on the space below with the mouse and your own personal calligraphy.
Although writing with the mouse is very difficult, being careful and moving your hand slowly you can draw your signature in order to save it on the Reader.
The following times, whenever you need to put your signature, just press the " Insert Signature " button and position it in the right place on the digital sheet.

You can also insert text boxes in the document from the same Signature menu.
To write on PDFs you can also use the comments function from which you can highlight, tick, add comments or notes to the page.
Sending the PDF files of the DC version of the Adobe Reader allows you to connect your email address so that you can send each document as an attachment to an e-mail message directly by clicking on the e-mail icon in the toolbar.
This ability to add your signature to PDF however is not the main novelty of the new Adobe Reader DC.
DC stands for Document Cloud and means that the Acrobat Reader program now includes a free cloud storage where you can save PDF documents so you can find them on other computers or smartphones .
You can then press the Login button at the top to access or register a new Adobe account and to be able to upload files to the Cloud storage service offered by Adobe.
The Document Cloud online service can also be reached via a web browser by going to documents.adobe.com
The protected mode introduced in Adobe Reader X has been improved in the DC version to protect your computer from malware that tries to exploit the program's bugs to perform file reading or writing operations.
Whenever the Reader performs an action such as, for example, starting another program (open a Word document attached to the pdf), every modification is closed in a protected area of the computer (sandbox) that does not interact with the system .
Any attempt to access dangerous functionality is thus prevented and rendered ineffective.
Among the other features of the official Adobe Reader DC program we can mention:
1) View PDF files that contain various types of content, such as images, drawings, spreadsheets, tables, videos and other multimedia elements.
2) You can take notes on the PDF document and highlight text to share it with others in order to make notes like "post-it" or with highlighters visible.
3) You can choose the reading mode to adapt the contents on the screen and to view two pages side by side.
You can also use keyboard shortcuts for printing, zooming, and for finding a word.
4) You can print a PDF document in Poster or Booklet mode, ideal for binding like a book.
4) Ability to access the online services of Acrobat.com, directly from the Reader DC.
With a free account you can convert Word documents or any other files to a PDF in a limited way.
There are however many alternatives as seen in the list of converter programs to turn PDF into Word documents
For professional use, from the Acrobat.com page it is possible, free or paid, to share files in an online workspace and create documents collaboratively, allowing others to write, make changes, sign and add comments .
Personally, I believe that Acrobat Reader must be present on all computers in order to open official documents with certified electronic signatures.
The DC version is fast and opens files without delay becoming finally up to par with other alternative programs to Adobe Acrobat Reader, certainly lighter, but now equally fast.
You can download Adobe Reader DC in Italian for Windows XP, Windows 7, Windows 8 and Windows 10 and also for Mac computers and Android devices.
The PDF reader integrates into Internet Explorer, Firefox and Chrome.
