Google Go files to free up space, manage files and send them (Android)

Google has launched a new application for every Android smartphone, which aims to become an integral part of the system, in order to add the AirDrop-style file sending functions and to improve the management of the internal memory by freeing it from obsolete files .
The application is called Files Go and immediately became one of the indispensable ones to have in every Android device.
You can therefore download Files Go from the Google Play Store and it is a very light app, in Italian, of just 6 Mega.
After installing it, you can open Files Go, give the necessary permissions and view the various suggestions proposed to free up memory space, which are:
- Unwanted files : Cache and temporary files of the applications (to be deleted only occasionally because they are however recreated every time).
- Multimedia content from various apps such as Whatsapp.
- Large files.
- Downloaded and stopped files in the Downloads folder.
- Duplicate files .
- Multimedia content detected as unwanted by Whatsapp.
- Unused applications.
If you choose to free up space from one of these categories, you will be able to review all the elements that will be eliminated, select them all or just a few before doing the removal.
Files Go has three main functions that work great.
1) Make Order, to free up memory from obsolete files explained above.
2) Share, to send files from your phone to another (which has GO Files).
3) Browse, to open the complete file manager, to browse the phone folders.
Inside the Browse option you can explore the various files of the main folders of the phone, namely Downloads, Received Files, Images, Videos, Audio and Documents .
Here, by touching the three dots at the top right, you can activate the " Show storage devices " option which allows you to use Go Files just like a file manager.
With this option activated, you can tap on Internal Memory or on the SD card to view the folders and files.
Each file can be shared, deleted, copied, moved to another folder and renamed
Below, you can use the Share function to transfer files securely via the Internet by pressing the Enter or Receive keys.
If we press on Send, from another phone we will have to press the Receive button, always using the Files Go app.
The sending function works very similar to that of AirDrop on iPhone and iPad, super fast and without obstacles, passwords or configurations to do.
For the moment, however, files with Files Go can only be transferred using Android devices.
The connection takes less than 5 seconds and the transfer speed reaches up to 500 Mbps.
Files Go also works as a Video Player, to open videos and movies, and then also as a security app that checks the legitimacy of the apps that someone may have shared with us.
Finally, in the settings of the Files Go app, accessible from the button with three dots at the top right, you can activate or deactivate some automatic functions including:
- Notice when storage space is low;
- Unused App Warning
- Warning about a download that takes up space
- Notice when a folder is too large.
- Notice if there are too many duplicate files, unwanted files and memes.
