The screen turns off upside down and in your pocket and turns back on when taken (Android App)

Updated on 9.8.14
Gravity Screen is a rather incredible app that turns on the mobile phone screen when it is taken out of your pocket.
In this way, whether it is checking email, answering a message just received, making a call or just checking the time, there is no need to press the power button every time because everything is automatic.
The app detects when the phone is oriented upside down or facing down and when its proximity sensor is covered .
If both conditions are met, the screen turns itself off, otherwise it turns on again.

Gravity Screen is free and fine, but there is also a paid version with no limits.
The app works precisely without consuming any battery even if it needs to be configured a bit at the beginning with the calibration.
Permanent notification serves to quickly pause its functionality when not required.
The application turns on the screen automatically when you start using your mobile phone and turns it off when you put your mobile phone back in your pocket.
If you take the phone from your pocket or put it on the table the screen will be turned on again without having to press buttons .
There is also a way to detect when the phone is face up on a flat surface (if you don't want to put your cell phone with the screen on the table) and a timeout to save battery.
headset mode turns off the screen when headphones are connected and when the phone is in your pocket.
The following are the Gravity-Screen settings that I have configured, after several attempts, on my Android phone and that work me decently (the app is in English and free version):
- Pocket Sensor: 60º
- Any Direction: N
- Table Sensor: 35º
- Lying Face Up: N
- Turn Screen OFF By Proximity: Y
- Turn Screen ON By Proximity: Y
- Turn Screen ON By Motion: Y
- Timeout: 10 min
- Sensitivity: 15
- False Turn-On Protection in Pocket: Y
- False Turn-On Protection in Hand & Car: Y
- Keep Screen ON by Motion: N

- Vibration: N
- Headphone Support: N
- Disable Screen Lock: N

Alternatively, if it doesn't work well, you can also try another similar application called WakeUp .
WakeUp allows the Android phone to turn on without pressing any button, when taken in hand.
The app uses Android's tilt sensor to wake it up automatically.
