Computer time accurate and synchronized with the atomic clock on Windows

Despite its importance, not many pay attention to how the time is adjusted on the computer .
Everything on the PC depends on the passage of time, for planned activities, for saving documents, for receiving and sending e-mails, for activating paid programs and so on, for software updates and so on.
For this reason, setting the clock is the first thing Windows asks you to set when installing the system on a computer.
Since computers are interconnected in a worldwide network in the Internet age, it is important that they are synchronized to show the exact same time.
Maybe it seems a secondary aspect but you can easily imagine what chaos could be created if every computer and server in the world had its own clock different from the others.

For this reason, each computer has an internal clock synchronization system so that the marked time is the same as the atomic clock .
All PCs and servers in the world use standard settings, even if they are located in areas with different time zones.
Windows has its own internal tool to manage the date and time .
It can be accessed easily by clicking on the clock at the bottom right, on the taskbar, and choosing the " change date and time settings " option.
On the " Date and time " window there is the tab to change the time and time zone manually.
You can also add different clocks if you want to have different times under control in various cities around the world.
These additional clocks will appear each time the mouse pointer moves over the clock.
The most important part of this configuration is the " Internet Time " tab where, by default, the synchronization of the computer clock with the atomic clock server " time.windows.com " should already be active.
By clicking on Change settings, you can change the server with which to synchronize by choosing a different one from those available belonging to Nist.gov, the American Institute of Standards
An alternative tool with which you can achieve the same synchronization with the atomic clock is Atomic Clock Sync .
This small program is provided by WorldTimeServer and is used to uniquely adjust the computer time.
This program is also useful for restoring the Windows time service in case there are problems.
If the computer does not run out of time, it means that the buffer battery of the motherboard has been discharged or damaged for some reason and will need to be replaced by opening the PC (it has the shape of an easily recognizable metal button).
If you wanted to replace the Windows clock graphic, there are many programs around including, I like very much, HTC Home (only for Windows 7 and Vista)
The watch with this tool becomes similar to that of HTC phones and smartphones.
In other articles I remember the clocks with timers and alarms and the sites with the exact time and the conversion of time zones.
