Play the guitar following the notes on the computer

If the chitara is the most popular acoustic instrument for playing music, it is due to its simplicity and accessibility.
In another article the game Frets on Fire was presented where the notes of the most famous songs on guitar could be played using the computer keyboard.
Speaking instead of real guitar, the more experienced guitarists have developed standards to represent a song in a more intuitive way by indicating the keys or frets with numbers (they are the brass alloy bars that delimit the keys) that must be pressed on the guitar.
Through this scheme it becomes easy to play many songs even for those who are not experts in guitar and cannot read music.
The problem however is to understand the length and rhythm of the song and therefore how and for how long to press a key; many aspiring guitarists therefore try to follow the piece of music by listening to it while they play it and thus copy the rhythm.
And here comes Songsterr, a site that offers a service similar to that offered by the Guitar Pro software but, instead of having a software download, offers the service through an internet page directly from the browser.
Songsterr looks like a flash " tab player " that guides the guitarist to follow the notes, or rather the frets and the rhythm.
The site currently offers around 150 songs represented and schematized with care and precision.
Songsterr therefore represents an aid to aspiring guitarists where the songs are guided and accompanied by an audio track and a graphic representation.
The player developed in flash indicates exactly to the guitarist the notes that must be played.
This site came out just over a month and, let's say it is still very sparse.
Songsterr may offer help to novices but experts will find fault with the lack of support on techniques, the incompleteness of some songs and the lack of sound of other musical instruments; however the owner Russian company says it will improve its service in the next month.
Another similar site is SoundSlice, complete with notes to follow live to play any song.
The Riffstation site instead allows you to play following the guitar chords on the screen, without needing to know the notes and tablature, ideal for beginners and for fun.
The TuxGuitar program instead is based on the multitrack system and adds a series of effects (bend, slide, vibrato, hammer-on / pull-off) with which to enrich the music.
The files can be imported and exported in 3gp format.
Absolutely free and opensource, it is not far from the professional levels of Guitarpro to produce sheet music (tabs) and create new ones.
Tux Guitar is a program that allows you to compose and play the guitar from your computer, suitable for everyone, even for beginners and simple enthusiasts.
To tune the guitar using the computer and the web you can find very functional applications listed on another page.
In another article you can enter the interactive Instinct app, the best site to learn to play the guitar online and for free .
Finally, on the GuitarBackingTrack website there are 3000 songs and beyond that can be listened to for free in their rhythmic base in order to play on them.
Basically there are the basics played with bass, drums and rhythmic guitar, without voice and without the solo guitar which, obviously, must be played.
