Enable Android encryption and why encrypting your phone is recommended

Memory encryption on an Android smartphone is a protection system active on some (few) new smartphones, but to be activated manually on almost every other phone.
Who has an Android smartphone of all brands, including Samsung, LG, Huawei, Motorola etc. it should enable memory encryption to make any data unreadable if you do not have the decryption key.
In other words, if it is used to store important data, work or personal data on the phone, to prevent it from being extracted and read by strangers in the event of theft or loss of the mobile phone, a password or PIN can be set which makes it impossible, even to a level hacker, to be able to recover this data.
When entering the PIN or password on the lock screen, the phone decodes the data and makes it readable to the user.
However, if you do not know the PIN or the encryption password, you cannot access the data.
Encryption, therefore, protects the data on the phone in such a way that it is not readable even with other systems, for example using memory recovery programs or hacker techniques (even if a good hacker, having time, will be able to decrypt any protected system).
Why then do not encrypt the phone "> Encrypt phone ".
As mentioned above, some smartphones have encryption already activated and you should read information about it in the Security menu.
In some phones, then, there may be the possibility to also encrypt the data on the SD card, even if it is not common.
After pressing the key to encrypt the phone, a warning appears explaining what happens during the encryption process and what the effects are.
Once ready, press the button in base Crypt phone and again you will read another notice with a request for final confirmation.
Going forward, the phone will reboot and begin the Android encryption process with a progress bar and expected time to complete.
Once finished, the phone reboots again and asks you to set the lock screen password or PIN.
In another article we have already seen which protection and screen lock for Android is more secure .
Finally, with encryption, you can be sure that, after a reset, the data in the memory of the Android phone is permanently deleted and not recoverable.
