Install Google Chrome OS on every PC and Mac (dual boot or on USB stick)

In collaboration with Google, a company called Neverware has created a free program capable of transforming any old computer into a Chromebook (if portable) or a Chromebox (such as desktop PC).
We have already written about how a Chromebook works and how it can replace every computer, focusing above all on its loading speed and its versatility in being able to do all the things you would do with a normal PC.
Within Google computers, which are still little known in Italy but which are sold more than Windows and Mac laptops in the USA, there is Google's open source Chrome OS operating system, which in summary is a modified version of the Chrome browser, with Linux Kernel, capable of working alone.
We had already seen, in the past, a guide to install Chrome OS on PC explaining the steps of a not difficult, but still laborious procedure.
With Neverware 's Cloudready program, however, everything becomes simple and immediate, just a USB stick to copy the downloaded installation files and load the Google OS from there.
The download of the Google Chrome OS operating system can be done, free of charge, from the Cloudready site
Being an operating system that works almost entirely online, with web applications, Chrome OS is very light and fast and above all it does not require any hardware requirement for the PC in which it is used.
In other words, Google Chrome OS is an operating system that can make every PC come back fast, even if it is 7 or 8 years old .
The program is available in a free version for personal use and in a paid version for schools, which are the main target market of the company.
Schools, which notoriously have old, slow and broken-down computers, by adopting Cloudready and the Google OS, can completely renew the IT department and take advantage of low-cost technical support for $ 25 per computer each year or $ 59 for a license of four years.
Those who want to try Cloudready can immediately download it and copy it to an 8 or 16 GB USB stick.
The system can be booted by changing the boot order of the computer and choosing the USB stick as the drive to start from.
Google Chrome OS will therefore be usable live, without installation, without deleting anything on the main hard disk.
If you decide to install it as the computer's operating system, you can create a partition and keep the computer in dual boot, without having to delete the disk and without removing Windows.
The instruction page explains in detail all that needs to be done and any problems that may be encountered.
The site also offers a list of models that surely Google OS works well, including HP, Dell, Lenovo, Asus, Acer and even Apple Macs.
