With the Google Chrome browser you can create a connection in Remote Desktop and be able to control a PC remotely, via the internet. Compared to other solutions of the same type, with Chrome you can control another Windows PC, a Mac or a Linux computer via the internet with the same program, without the need to download different clients or additional software. With Chrome you can therefore put a computer in the browser and open its desktop as if it were a website.
The " Remote Desktop " function in Google Chrome can be activated for free by going to the remotedesktop.google.com site. Chrome Remote Desktop is very easy and very fast to use; the only prerequisite is access to a Google or Gmail account.
After pressing the button it starts on the Remote Desktop site, you can click on Cfigure remote access to download the software that allows you to connect to your PC. This software is nothing more than the extension for Chrome of the Remote Destkop.
From the application's web page, which can be opened directly from the extension button at the top right of Chrome, you can then activate the control on this computer, configure a security PIN that must be entered every time you connect to this PC and give it a name. Always from the same page, if opened from any other PC, it will therefore be possible to press the name of the computer where the remote control has been activated to view it and use it remotely as if you were in front of it .
The controlled PC "sees" the movements made with the mouse by the other computer which has full access to the computer system of another computer, including access to applications, e-mails, files, documents and history. On the controlled PC, Chrome does not need to be open all the time and the connection works even if the PC is locked on the login screen.
From the column of options on the right, which automatically hides and can be used by moving the mouse on the blue tab, you can activate full screen mode to see the controlled computer desktop on your screen without any other disturbing elements. You can also see the keys and combinations to use to do some operations such as copying and pasting from PC to another, the screenshot and the F11 key that puts the page in full screen.
Always from the same column of options it is possible to use the commands to transfer files to the controlled PC or to download files from it to our computer.

This function allows you to generate a temporary code that can be used by another person to access it and give us assistance . The code is for single use only, so it will have to be generated again to authorize a new connection.
To give assistance, you can use the option on the same page, by entering the code that was received by the person requesting assistance.
You can also use the Android and iPhone app to access your PC from a mobile phone with Chrome Remote Desktop .
To access a PC configured with Chrome Remote Desktop it is also possible to use other web browsers such as Firefox, Edge and Safari.
