Open365 as Office 365, free, with Libreoffice Cloud and 20 GB of online space

Open365 is another program that works as an alternative to Microsoft's Office suite, this time oriented to the Cloud, that is, to the needs of those who want to work from home or anywhere else on documents that must remain in the office and to work on the same file in collaboration with other people.
This is a type of functionality that is lacking in traditional alternative programs to Microsoft Office .
With Open365, whose name recalls Office365 with the cloud versions of Word, Excel and Powepoint, it is possible to create documents from the PC, upload and synchronize them on the "cloud" online space and keep them there to be taken from another PC if necessary.
Documents, spreadsheets and presentations can be edited, with Open365, through the browser or through the LibreOffice program on PC .
Open365 offers a 20 GB free space to store documents and other work files online, without any other limitations.
The best thing is that Open365 is open source and will be released for free to all offices and developers who want to implement it on their corporate servers.
Open365 is an absolutely ambitious project to provide a cloud work platform capable of managing and controlling all documents from multiple locations, as one would do, precisely, using Office 365 .
The files can be organized neatly in the cloud library located on the Open365 website, which provides the necessary tools to edit documents directly from the web browser .
Compared to a similar app like Google Docs, Open365 also integrates with LibreOffice if it is installed on the PC and allows you to use the best free alternative program to Microsoft Office to immediately upload files to the cloud and keep them synchronized.
To use Open365, connect to the Open365.io site (currently offline) and press the button to register.
Once the account is registered, a new email address of the type is assigned.
You can then download the Open365 client, available for Windows, Linux, Mac and also for Android smartphones and tablets and (soon) also for iPhone and iPad .
The client is used to access the created files and add them to keep them synchronized.
Once the client is installed, log in with the email address @ open365 created during registration to find the same files present in the cloud space.
If you have LibreOffice installed on your PC, double clicking on a document from the Open365 client opens it in LibreOffice and any saved changes are automatically synchronized.
The Open365 website, which is currently in beta phase, allows you to manage the various documents by organizing them into folders and sharing them with other users of the program.
a shared document can be made editable or only to be viewed for others.
On the main page, called Hub, you can press the button at the top, where Cloud is written, to open the online versions of the LibreOffice Writer, Calc and Impress programs .
Web applications have a very spartan interface, but complete with every function for writing and making calculations or presentations, as would be done on similar platforms such as Microsoft Office Online or Google Docs.
It can be seen here that there is also a Webmail service complete with every function, including the address book and the to-do list, useful for exchanging documents with other users, sending or receiving them not only with those who use Open365.
On the main page of the site you can also press the button at the top right of the Chat to chat with colleagues and friends registered for the service.
In file sharing you can also create groups and manage multiple people with whom you have to share some documents.
Open365 is an impressive online work program with cloud storage and perfectly functioning, free and unrestricted Office programs that are not believed to exist.
Certainly it is not the maximum of aesthetic beauty and, at least for the moment, it has yet to demonstrate its reliability over time, in terms of performance and safety.
Open365 is still the best alternative to Microsoft's Office 365 and beyond, thanks to the integration with LibreOffice and the possibility of mixed use both via the web and from the program, it also offers a great alternative to Google Docs, which instead works only online.
