The BitTorrent Transmission program also for Windows PCs

Transmission, one of the most popular BitTorrent clients ever for Mac OSX and Linux, has finally arrived on Windows PC after about a decade of existence!
The output of this program is very welcome for all Windows users who use torrents to download files from the internet or share them on the network, because it provides a great alternative to UTorrent, still today the most popular and used BitTorrent client in the world, full chock full of advertising and footprint only commercial software.
Transmission, on the other hand, is an open source program, free from companies and commercial thrusts, non-profit and absolutely free.
Transmission can and must be downloaded only from the official website, from this page, scrolling down until you find the .msi files that are those for installation on Windows.
There are two files, one transmission ...- x64.msi for Windows 64 bit and the other transmission -...- x86.msi for Windows 32 bit.
Be careful not to download Transmission from different sites because you may find versions accompanied by viruses or sponsor software.
After installing Transmission, at the first start you will immediately receive a message warning about how the program works, that is, that all the files downloaded via torrent are in turn automatically re-shared on the network.
Then start a local session and open the Torrent file (which we already have on the PC) to start downloading the file to which it refers.
On torrent files, you can also right-click, go to Open with .. and choose Transmission as the default program so you can download each of them quickly.

The Windows PC application has the same feature set and interface as the original version available on Mac for years.
Compared to other clients, Transmission is excellent not only because it is free and fast, but also because it is open-source, developed by volunteers, available without ads, light and small (about 25 MB on Windows), support for encryption, Web interface to be able to control via browser, and ability to set different speed limits for individual torrents.
Comparing Transmission with UTorrent we can see how the second is richer in functionality and also more beautiful to use, but also how it is heavier, more invasive and more obnoxious in showing advertising.
To decide in any case whether to use one or the other advice, those who already use UTorrent to check if the download speed of Transmission is comparable or better than that of UTorrent.
