App to take 360-degree panoramic photos on Android and iPhone

In recent months, those who use Facebook may have noticed the presence of panoramic photos that allow you to see an environment, such as a room, a beach or a landscape, moving the frame with the mouse or, on smartphones, orienting the mobile phone to the right or left. These panoramic photos are taken with special apps that allow you to view any environment at 360 degrees . These applications allow you to take multiple shots in series and unify them automatically, creating that panoramic spherical effect that makes it seem as if we were there, turning around it.
The operation is more or less similar for all these applications: the panoramic shot indicates precisely where to frame, left and right, and saves the image automatically, then composing the various shots so that it looks like a single large photograph.
With an Android smartphone such as the Samsung Galaxy or the P10 Huawei and also with iPhone it is possible to create 360-degree panoramic photos with one of these free (or almost) specialized applications .
1) Panorama 360 is the best for iPhone and Android, the most popular application in this special category, especially because it is completely free and easy to use.
All you need to do to take the panoramic photo is to follow the guided procedure and shoot by framing the point indicated on the screen. The 360-degree spherical photos can then be published and viewed on Facebook in panoramic mode, thanks to the phone's gyroscope.
2) Pano is an application for Android and iPhone, one of the best even if it needs an update.
The final resolution of the 360 ° photograph is 24 megapixels and the algorithm used also provides for color correction and correct alignment.
360 ° panoramic photos are also geotagged with location and support exif data.
3) Phototaf Panorama is an application only for Android, not very popular, but very good in terms of simplicity and how to use the camera.
Similar to Panorama 360, it has an excellent interface that facilitates all users, even inexperienced users, to take panorama photos.
While the free version works well, to get an HD mode and set photos as wallpapers on the phone you need to buy the premium version at the cost of 4 Euros.
4) The Google Street View app for Android and iPhone, the one that allows you to see every street and corner of the world in 3D mode, is also a tool to create spherical photos in a simple and guided way.
5) DMD Panorama Pro, for Android and iPhone, is one of the most intuitive applications to use for a total 360 ° immersion in images. It has a fully automatic shutter system and a special gallery to view all the photos, which are enlarged with a couple of touches on the screen
The app is also connected to a website where you can share images to see those of other people around the world.
5) The Google Camera app for Android, available only on Nexus and a few others, is still one of the best for creating panoramic photos as explained in a guide for the Google camera.
6) PanOMG, only Android is a simple application for making good quality panoramic photos, which provides instructions on the screen so as not to be mistaken.
7) InSwipe Panorama for Instagram is a well-kept, easy-to-use 2017 app that combines multiple photos to create full panoramic images.
In another article we also saw how to create panoramic photos from the computer, through special programs such as Autostitch.
FINAL NOTE: 360 degree photos shared on Facebook can be identified by the compass icon superimposed on the right side. When viewing a panoramic photo on Facebook from an Android smartphone or iPhone, simply move the phone to look left and right or, on the website, click and drag.
