Emoji on iPhone and iPad
Until iOS 5 it was only possible to write emoji emoticons by downloading third-party applications.
Now all iOS devices (iPhone and iPad) have an integrated keyboard for inserting smiley faces and icons, even if you need to change it to use and unlock it.
Open the Settings, go to General, select keyboard and touch the international keyboards sub-menu.
From the list of keyboards installed on the phone, tap on Add new keyboard and choose Emoji .
In addition to this, also add, as a new keyboard, the Japanese one and then, below, the one called Kana .
Thanks to this special keyboard it will be possible to use other hidden emojis on the iPhone, other than the standard ones.
To use keyboards with Emoji, open any application that allows you to write messages such as iMessage, Mail, Notes, Twitter, Facebook or Whatsapp and touch the globe icon on the left of the space bar key to bring up all the cute faces and emoji symbols .
Emojis are grouped into various categories represented by icons that facilitate the search for the one to use.
The first category, the one with a clock symbol, represents the most recently used emojis.
With iOS you can also install the keyboard, Emoji ++, which organizes the smilies on the iPhone and iPad so you can write them quickly.
Emoji on Android
With a Samsung, HTC, LG, Nexus or any other smartphone with Android system there are many ways to use colored Emojis.
First of all we need to see if the phone is already able to read and write emojis.
The easiest way to understand this is to open a web page with emoji.
One could be Wikipedia, in the unicode character list.
If you see squares that are all the same, then the device does not support emojis.
In this case, however, you can always use applications that support emojis, such as WhatsApp or other apps to send SMS on Android.
On smartphones with Android 4.2 and above you can unlock the Emoji symbols by installing the graphic keyboard called iWnn IME .
Then open the Settings menu, then open Language & input and enable
" iWNN IME Emoji ".
Now, when using the Android keyboard, you can press the space bar and select the Emoji keyboard as the input method.
If you can't activate the iWNN IME keyboard, there is another way.
Open the settings, then Language and input and press the right configuration button for the Google keyboard or next to the standard Android keyboard.
In the keyboard settings, scroll down to find Dictionaries and install the Emoji dictionary for English words
Now, when you write with the Android or Google keyboard in any application, you can write some keywords in English to see the emojis appear.
For example, the word " smile " becomes a smiley face.
If there is no possibility to install the Emoji keyboard, external applications such as the Emoji Keyboard or other keyboards such as SwiftKey, Swype, Fleksy, Minuum or other alternative keyboards for Android can be used.
Finally, keep in mind that, in any case, if the recipient of a message with Emoji does not have a mobile phone or smartphone that supports them, he will see only empty symbols.
