In the end, after many years of waiting, Mediaset convinced themselves to broadcast their television channels on the internet. There is no longer any need to go and look for unlikely sites that broadcast Italy 1 and Canale 5 in streaming because all Mediaset channels are visible live on the official website for free, without limitations, not only from any web browser on the PC, but also from the app for Android and for iPhone . To watch Canale 5, Italia 1, Rete 4 live streaming on the internet, simply connect to the Mediaset Play website and click one of the channel logos at the top or bottom, where it is also written which program the films or TV series are broadcasting. Among these there are also Italia 2, Mediaset Extra, La5, Iris, Top Crime and Tgcom .
Once the channel is clicked it will be necessary, only the first time, to register an account. You can choose to register it via a Twitter or Facebook account (if you do not have a Facebook and Twitter account, click on "You are not yet registered" below) then filling in a whole form with email address, password, date of birth and many privacy clauses to accept. At the end you will receive a confirmation email with a PIN to activate the online service, which however is completely free.
As said before, to view Italia 1 Canale 5 and Rete 4 on the internet from the PC you can use any browser even if there are differences.
With Chrome Edge and Firefox there is no need to install any plugins and streaming video works normally.
With Internet Explorer and other browsers it may be necessary to install the Silverlight plugin (which no longer works on Chrome).
All Mediaset channels, including therefore Italia 1, Rete 4 and Canale 5, can also be viewed live streaming from the Android smartphone or from the iPhone / iPad . In the latest update of the app there is a new section on live TV, from which you can see the live broadcast of all Mediaset channels.
