How to take photos on the go on Android (like Live Photos or Motion Pictures)

One of the best features that some smartphones have today is that of moving photos, called Live Photos by Apple on iPhone 6, 7, 8 and later models, Living Images by Microsoft and more recently Motion Pictrures by Google, on Pixel 2 smartphones.
It is a special effect in which the photo is not static, but it is like a mini video of a few seconds, which is repeated in a loop.
While then on phones like the Samsung Galaxy S8 and Note 8, the moving photo is already a function of the built-in camera, to be true the function of the Live Photos or Motion Pictures on other Android phones of other brands it is necessary to install an application new and, among the different available, there is one that works better than others.
The best way to get the motion blur of photos on any Android phone is through the Camera MX application, already mentioned in another article on the best camera apps for Android.
You can then download the application for free from the Google Play Store, install and open it to start taking pictures immediately.
To create live photos you only need to touch, if we hold the screen vertically, the second icon on the top left, the one made with three white dots.
Then select the Live Shot option and tap on " Try It " to immediately try it.
The test is limited to three moving photos, then you will need to tap on the writing unlock to unlock it.
There will be nothing to pay, but you are only required to access the camera MX application with a Facebook account or a Google account, giving consent for the receipt of newsletters (you can always cancel later or let them go in spam).
Once you activate the Live Shots function of Camera MX, all the photos taken in this way will be like continuous repeating micro videos.
They will be visible by browsing the shots with the application itself and can also be shared.
The button to access the gallery is the icon at the bottom right and the "live" photos are distinct from the others because they have the live shots icon above.
When opening a live photo, you will need to hold the screen down to see it move.
Live shots, like all photos taken with Camera MX, can also be edited and retouched with filters and effects and then also manipulated in various ways, by pressing the spiral button at the top.
By going into edit mode, you will find that the video recorded for the live photo is 5 seconds long, which can also be shortened by cutting at the beginning and / or at the end.
The video can be converted to GIF and can also be set as the smartphone's moving wallpaper (Live Wallpaper).
Furthermore, it is also possible, from here, to activate the audio of the recording.

Sharing can be done using the button that appears in the menu at the top and asks to choose whether to share the moving image as a video or as a GIF .
Considering that GIFs are now supported by Facebook and by message apps like Whatsapp and Telegram, the compatibility of moving photos remains intact.
There are definitely other apps for taking photos on the go, so if you are not satisfied, you can look at the list of the best animated photo apps on Android and iPhone .
