Gmail app for Android and iPhone alternatives to the official one

Gmail is the most used e-mail service in the world, born as an April Fool in 2004, it then became a site and an indispensable application, for its many features, unique options and reliability (which resulted in also, in recent times a strong migration of users from Yahoo Mail, repeatedly hacked, to Gmail).
While you can access Google Mail mail from the Gmail app for Android and iPhone (which among other things also allows you to synchronize mail from non-Google accounts), there are also several other alternative applications to manage, send and receive messages with Gmail .
In fact, thanks to the integrated IMAP support of Gmail (whose configuration can be found on the gmail.com website by going to Settings> Forwarding and POP / IMAP ), you can use practically any email client to synchronize the messages sent and received by Gmail.
Although the following applications for Android and iPhone can almost all also work with other mail services, they are particularly optimized for Gmail, and even if they are not official apps, they practically work are equally easy to configure and include all the features.
1) MyMail (for Android and iPhone) is an application that has been around for a long time and is very popular which allows you to manage emails from multiple accounts together, including Gmail.
In addition to the possibility of being able to configure the reception of notifications differently depending on the messages, the app has an excellent search function, good attachment management, a quick system for organizing messages, also using labels and folders .
2) VMWare Boxer (Android, iPhone) is an excellent mail client for any type of IMAP account that can be connected to Gmail directly, with support for labels.
The interface may not be the best in the world, but it still remains uncluttered and with all the options that an app must have to receive e-mail messages.
3) Yahoo Mail for Android and for iPhone is the Yahoo mail app that also works with Gmail accounts, very elegant, full of functions and fast in consulting the list of e-mail messages and their automatic sorting.
4) Spark (iPhone and iPad only) is a perfect app to manage e-mail in a modern way, with a nice interface and some smart functions, above all to keep newsletters and spam messages away.
It also contains quick replies with pre-loaded text and smart notifications for only the most important messages.
The application can also be integrated with cloud services such as Google Drive and Dropbox.
5) Microsoft Outlook for Android and iPhone is a universal app to manage not only Outlook.com accounts, but also Google Mail or other suppliers accounts.
The application has the advantage of being synchronized with all the platforms in which it is available and therefore not only Android and iPhone, but also Windows, via the web and clients such as Microsoft Outlook for PC
The best features are certainly the automatically identified important messages box (such as Google's Priority Inbox) and the possibility to postpone the messages to leave them marked as to be read and answered even if already read.
6) Finally, Gmail's Inbox is the official Google alternative to Gmail app to manage mail in a different way, with a completely different interface, which is perhaps faster and more essential, transforming the mailbox almost into a messaging app.
The app also has special functions to postpone e-mails, to create automatic replies, to organize them into categories automatically, to see the preview without opening the message, with priority notifications and other things.
This app is exclusive only to use Gmail from iPhone or from an Android smartphone.
