Use the hashtags on #Facebook and what the words with the pound sign mean

Facebook has announced on its blog that hashtags will be launched in the coming days.
The question therefore, for many people, really arises: What does the hashtags mean and what are "> Today I want to write a new article! #Windows".
Hashtags were invented by a Twitter user in 2007 and are used, in fact, to specify the topic of their intervention (they were inspired by the IRC chat channels).
In this way all the updates that report that term can be searched quickly and easily only because the word with hashtag is clickable while the others are not.
The idea behind hashtags on Twitter is that, for example, to search for all the tweets related to a certain football game, just click on the hashtag with the name of the teams.
This does not mean that you can write without using hashtags, because so much is found in searches, but if you want to encourage the search for that word by other users, then these keywords become fundamental.
To be clear, there was nothing that prevented you from writing hashtags on Facebook even before, only that they had no real functionality, that is, they were not clickable.
The Facebook hashtag is similar to that of other services such as Instagram, Twitter, Tumblr, or Pinterest so when you click on a hashtag, you will get the list of all the comments and updates that carry that word .
In practice, even on Facebook you can search for public updates as it happens on Twitter, to see what people say, even if they are not known, about a topic, to follow a public conversation and to find out what is being talked about every day.
Now you can search for a specific hashtag from the search bar, click on a hashtag even if it comes from other services such as Instagram and write the messages directly from the search results stream for a hashtag.
Facebook explains in its page:
"Every day, hundreds of millions of people use Facebook to share their thoughts, talking about a TV show, a political topic, a soccer team and so on.
To highlight these conversations on public topics, new features will be launched, including hashtags on Facebook. "
The idea of " public conversation " on Facebook however works differently than it does on a service like Twitter, because many Facebook posts are not public and have a certain degree of restriction of visibility.
Hashtags will respect user privacy so when you search or click on a hashtag, you will see a list that includes only public updates and those of friends.
It should be noted that Facebook is not a useful tool for real-time content like Twitter is.
Facebook shows the most relevant news in its home, not necessarily in chronological order and there is no way to view friends' updates in a real-time stream, even if you order by "most recent."

Hashtags on Facebook could therefore be a little strange to many users, such as writing errors or strange code for a few.
However, the new function is not currently active for everyone and will be released in the next few days, when you will see bold words with a # pound sign nearby .
