3D tour of the Titanic journey on Google Earth and video about the disaster

On April 15, 1912, exactly 100 years ago, the Titanic sank in the North Atlantic after colliding with an iceberg on its maiden voyage from Southampton to New York City.
The sinking of the Titanic resulted in the death of 1, 514 people, including some of the wealthiest people in the world.
Everybody knows the history of the Titanic, it was the largest ship surfaced up to that time, it was described in history books, transformed into films and commemorated worldwide in museums and monuments.
Now, despite the wreckage is deep in the sea, it is possible to explore the most famous ship in the world from your computer thanks to the reconstruction of Google Earth .
Using images from National Geographic, the Google Earth team created an updated 3D model of the Titanic.
You can explore different parts of the ship, from bow to stern, simply by searching for "Titanic" in the Google Earth search box.
You can also see the Titanic's short journey to the time of the disaster on a guided tour of Google Earth .
This spectacular journey, which can be viewed from this link, showcases historical images and videos of the Titanic provided by NOAA and National Geographic.
