Facebook today released a new function for the social network: the ability to save links, web pages, news, places and other things so you can easily find them again. In fact one of the main problems of Facebook has always been the fact that news older than a few days disappeared from the flow and ended up forgotten.
The " Like " placed on a web page is used to share the news, but not to save it for future review.
To go back to past news, you need to remember who published it and then scroll through your diary (as long as it was not hidden) or you must scroll through the list of activity logs to see all the likes you pressed.
The Save button simplifies things a lot and makes Facebook a convenient tool to bookmark websites and web pages that you want to remember .
You can already use this function to save your favorite news, when they appear on the Facebook home, by pressing the down arrow next to the news and then clicking on Save .
The button appears only for links, to websites and Facebook pages, for videos and for places besides other elements such as music, books and TV programs.
It does not work for photos and images, nor for normal status updates.
The function is also active in Italy both on the Facebook site and on the iPhone and Android applications .
The Save on Facebook button is also an extension for Chrome or a bookmarklet to be added to the browser's favorites bar that allows you to save save favorite websites and web pages without directly entering Facebook.
To see all the links and places saved you must click on the left column of the home, at the top, Saved items .
The same link is present in the main menu of the smartphone application.
The favorites saved in Facebook are divided by type (therefore the places are separated by links) and are ordered chronologically, with an indication of the person who published it.
