A very cool type of effect that can be given to photos is the transformation into a portrait made of words . If zoomed to very high levels, the digital image turns out to be made up of colored points that are close together (in technical language they are called pixels).
Turning a photo into text means that dots are replaced by words or letters .
You can then write a sentence or a word that repeats itself and is colored according to the photo you convert.
This type of image transformation is called ASCII Art of which I spoke in the post on the sites to convert images into letters, symbols and ASCII text which allows you to draw using computer characters in a text field.
The Textify website is an evolution of ASCII Art and transforms a photograph into a beautiful portrait of customizable text.
The web application, free and without registration, allows you to upload your own photo from the computer to the site by clicking on the "Browse for image" button in the box on the right.
You can immediately see how individual pixels in the image are converted into text characters.
From the box on the right you can write a word of your choice in the Character field and then you can set two parameters: the quantity of repeated letters and their size.
You can also choose the font and background behind the photo which can be transparent, colored or based on the uploaded photo ( Source Image ).
Textify also has many different effects selectable from the Preset menu and becomes one of the web applications transforming photos into paintings.
After each modification, to see the result, click on Apply .
At the end you can save the new image by pressing the Save image button.
Those who have a website could appreciate the fact that by deselecting the " Draw On Canvas " option, you can press the View Source button to have the HTML code to be copied and pasted on your site to publish the new image made of text characters.
Another site that works in a similar way but with fewer options is TyPoEffects where it is possible to transform an image into text with colors of your choice and limited customization options among which, the main one, is the size of the text.
The main feature of this site is that you can write a complete word or phrase that is not broken down but is used to draw the image and is therefore readable.
