The widgets on Android are really an added value, to have the weather always in sight, the time, the energy saving buttons, the latest news, the latest messages, emails etc.

But those who want more and want to have personalized information or to put special buttons, you can create widgets through some special, free and very powerful applications.
With a little effort, you can create your own Android widgets in a semi-automatic and guided way to have full control of the smartphone functions directly from the main screen.
1) Elixir 2
This application provides all kinds of widgets to control Android functions. You can create widgets of various sizes by choosing which buttons to display among the many available. You can view the hardware information of battery, internal / external space, CPU, memory, telephony, WiFi, Bluetooth, NFC, access synchronization, accessibility, settings, configuration, notes, environment variables, brightness, screen timeout, installed applications and much else.
From the same authors there is also an add-on of widgets already configured in the Elixir Widget application, which also works without installing the main app.
2) Kustom Widget Maker .
Buzz Widget has many options for creating your own widget even if it looks really complicated at first. It allows you to designate a widget (such as an analog clock, a digital clock, a graphical battery indicator or the like) and modify it as you want even in a very advanced way. This application requires some effort, especially in the beginning.
3) Minimal Text
With this application you can write text information written on the phone screen. It is a Widget package with clock, weather and more, extremely customizable. Customization options include font type, colors, text size and sense of reading, which can also be vertical.
4) Ultimate-Custom-Widget

This application allows you to create multiple types of widgets and modify their appearance thoroughly and more than any other application. Creating a widget is not easy, but there are many apps with ready-made widgets just to add to your screen.
5) Zooper Widget (no longer exists)
After opening the application, there will be a large number of options to configure, which allow you to create and customize the widgets.
The widgets created with Zooper are made to be integrated in non-convectional launchers such as Themer which is by the same developers.
The creation of a widget in Android, even if it is not really the easiest thing to do, is another demonstration of how customizable the phones with this operating system are.
