IMAP support to receive Email Outlook.com on clients and apps

The main flaw of Hotmail, the mailbox of Microsoft, has always been the lack of support for IMAP and the fact that it only supports POP3.
For many people this may mean nothing but there are huge differences between POP3 and IMAP.
Briefly, IMAP, Internet Message Access Protocol is an application-level Internet protocol that allows an email client to access email on a remote mail server.
Compared to POP3, IMAP allows users to access the server from many different mail clients or interfaces or applications and view the same emails, as emails are kept on remote mail servers until the user remove it.
Put simply with IMAP, clients such as mobile apps or programs such as Microsoft Outlook and Thunderbird do not download mail to the computer and do not delete it from the server, however, leaving the user to read it and use it as he wishes.
Outlook.com now supports IMAP, this means that it is possible to configure and use Outlook.com (the former Hotmail or Windows Live Mail) on different programs, via computer or on applications via smartphone using this protocol.
If you use Outlook.com and you want to configure IMA P, you need to change the mail server settings using the server data indicated below.
Incoming mail server : IMAP
Server: imap-mail.outlook.com
Server port: 993
Encryption: SSL
SMTP outgoing mail server
Server: smtp-mail.outlook.com
Server port: 587
Encryption: TLS
Those who have never used Outlook.com, could take the opportunity to change manager and switch to what I consider one of the best online email webmail services, along with Gmail.
