Google Play Protect antivirus to protect Android on mobiles and tablets

In May, Google had announced a new service called Play Protect, presenting it, practically, as an antivirus for Android to verify apps and installed that do not contain malicious code.
Play Protect is the evolution of application control, initially born as an Android option, then it became a hidden background process and today has become practically an app integrated into the system of every Android smartphone and tablet, including Samsung Galaxy, Huawei and any other.
Play Protect does not only aim to control installed apps, but also to make sure that all Android users are aware that Google takes care of the safety of each device.
The Google antivirus for Android phones and tablets therefore has the ability to block apps detected as dangerous and the installation of malicious applications from Google Play or even from other sources or manual installations.
The new Google Play Protect antivirus is distributed on all devices silently, through the Google Play Services service, the one that Google uses to update Android functions without the need to install a new version of the operating system.
The screen that allows you to control how Play Protect is working and with the options to disable it will not be found, therefore, in a separate app, but can be viewed within Google settings .
Then open the Settings on your phone or tablet, go to Google and then, scrolling down, touch on Security .
from here tap on Verify App to open the Google Play Protect screen.
You will then be able to see the recently analyzed apps, at what time the last check was made and if everything is fine or if malicious apps are detected.
At the bottom there are two options, the first to disable Play Protect which is clearly not recommended (deactivating the antivirus can only be motivated by wanting more privacy).
The other option allows you to improve the control of dangerous apps by sending applications still considered unknown to Google.
Play Protect should already be available on every Android device and if it isn't yet, you just need to update the Android applications on the Google Play Store.
Play Protect should also appear in the Google Play Store options, while the warning that everything is fine also appears in the " My apps and games " section in the Play Store.
If you want even more security, remember that you can add and install an antivirus app for Android on your phone
