Network check, warning if internet connection is lost and automatic reconnection

When you leave your computer on with the internet active, perhaps downloading something via torrent or waiting for an important email, there is a risk that the internet connection will drop without being able to notice it.
In these cases it may happen that you go back to look at where the download is or if the urgent message has arrived and find out that the connection was lost because the line had fallen .
When a Windows computer disconnects from the internet, a warning or notification appears in the lower right corner but there are no warnings or alarms.
In order for the PC to automatically reconnect to the internet, in case the line should drop, the automatic connection must be set.
Going then to the network properties, (Control Panel \ Network and Internet \ Network connections, right click on the connection) in the Options tab, there is the possibility to configure the automatic reconnection by placing the cross on the " Recompose if the line ".
This is valid in case you have a non-LAN connection, and you connect to the internet manually.
When, on the other hand, you are in a LAN already connected to the internet, as is the case with Fastweb, this type of problem does not exist.
Alternatively or in addition, since automatic redialing sometimes does not work, you can ask to receive an alert when the internet falls and the computer disconnects .
There are cases in fact that the reconnection does not work because, perhaps, the provider requires more time after a brutal disconnection or for other types of errors inside the system.
in these cases then it may be useful to receive an audible warning that notifies you of the disconnection so that you can then manually or automatically restore the internet .
NetSNSOR is a small portable program (which does not require installation) that checks Internet connectivity at precise intervals and warns if the line is lost.
After starting it, you can press the " Start / Stop " button and start the check.
By pressing on " Enter Details " you can specify a file to play and a wav sound to play in case the connection is lost.
You can also change the check interval which, by default, is 10 minutes.
So if the Internet is connected, a simple message appears saying that everything is fine and nothing happens
In case of disconnection instead, the specified file is executed and the wav sound is played.
As a file to be executed, you can put a simple txt text file with the words "Computer not connected" while as a sound you can take an error wav file among those of Windows (use the "search" in the Windows folder).
As a file to be executed automatically, you can also set up automatic reconnection by creating a batch file (.bat) using the rasdial command, as indicated in the guide "automatically connect internet when the computer starts ".
Among other things, this tool can be run in the background, without being seen and can start on its own when the computer starts.
It works on all versions of Windows, including the most recent Windows 7 and also on Vista and Xp.
Then I remember the page that lists the causes and remedies to restore the network if the PC no longer connects to the internet.
