For several years Google has not only dealt with websites, searches, e-mail and social networks but also develops some programs to be installed on computers. For example, I think everyone knows Google Earth, the best example of a program developed and distributed for free by Google.
But it's not just proprietary programs that Google recommends installing on computers; the goal of the Google Pack is to provide all the essential programs for the use of the computer, trying to direct the less expert users towards the best choice.
The Google Pack is a small collection of PC programs that Google allows you to download for free and install in an extremely easy way, with choice or even all together in one go.
A Google advice is always welcome so the programs that are included in the Google Pack, all free and without limitations, can certainly be considered among the best in the category .

As mentioned, the Google suite of programs for the Windows computer includes not only Google products but also other software.
By accessing the download page of the Google Pack 3, the following programs can be downloaded and installed in one click :
- A web browser to surf the internet: the choice is between the Google Chrome Web Browser programs developed by Google itself and Mozilla Firefox with Google Toolbar included.
- Adobe Reader, the program for reading pdf files.
- Skype to make internet calls, to make video calls and chat.
- RealPlayer the famous program to watch videos and listen to music on the computer also useful for downloading videos from the Internet and YouTube.
- WebM Video for Internet Explorer 9 : this is a plugin to watch videos in HTML 5 on IE9, those of Google's WebM format (as opposed to Microsoft's H.264 format).
Then there are the Google programs, including:
- Google Earth that needs no introduction.
- Google Picasa, the best program to manage photos on your computer and upload them to the internet (on Facebook or on Picasaweb).
- Google Toolbar for IE to integrate Google services into Internet Explorer.
- Google Desktop is a program to search for files on your computer (the only one of all that is absolutely not recommended, heavy and not very useful).
- Cloud Connect for Microsoft Office to integrate Google Docs into Office.
- Google Apps is fast access to Google Docs and Gmail for Google Apps.
There is also a special section for security programs whose choice of Google also presents some surprises.
As Antivirus it is recommended to install a program chosen from the good old free antivirus Avast, Spyware Doctor with Antivirus and then Immunet Protect Antivirus .
Avast is certainly the most popular and well-known, chosen for those who want to play it safe without experiencing new things.
Spyware Doctor is a good antimalware program however not recommended to be kept as a sole protection.
Immunet Protect is instead a cloud antivirus with online protection and scanning, ideal for computers based on web applications, on which no programs are installed.
