Scroll to shutdown your PC in Windows 10 and 8.1

In Windows 10 there is a really nice hidden function, a way to turn off the computer which, it is not known for what reason, has not been put among the default options.
If before to stop the PC with Windows 8 you had to make unusual movements with the mouse decidedly uncomfortable, now, with Windows 10 and also Windows 8.1 there is a fast key that appears by pressing the right button on the Start menu at the bottom left or pressing simultaneously the Windows and X logo keys.
The new way to turn off your PC or tablet with Windows 10 or 8.1 is the " Scroll To Shut Down PC " (Slide To ShutDown), a hidden screen that few users are aware of because it can be activated only by opening a file buried in the folders of system.
In practice, the computer can only be turned off by swiping with the mouse or finger if using a touchscreen.
To use the scroll stop, open the Windows folder inside C :, then open the System32 folder and look for an executable file called SlideToShutdown .
With a double click on the file SlideToShutdown.exe you can see the screen that allows you to shutdown the computer by scrolling the image down (or even pressing Enter).
If you scroll up the image instead you cancel the operation and return to Windows.
To bring this PC shutdown button to the desktop in order to use it every day you need to right-click on the SlideToShutdown file and then click Send to Desktop to create a quick link.
Now go back to the desktop, right click on the new shortcut to SlideToShutdown and go to the properties.
From here it is worth assigning a key combination like CTRL-ALT-B to get a quick shortcut to shutdown the computer.
In addition, you can also change the icon, perhaps by choosing the one of the off button.
Once done, click the Apply button.
From now on you can use the " Scroll to shutdown the PC " function with a shortcut key or by clicking on the desktop key.
