Find out which apps are killing the battery (Android)

Battery problems are common for all owners of a smartphone.
No matter how powerful or expensive the cell phone is, the battery always remains its weak point, which often doesn't even last until the end of the day.
You can follow many recommendations to save battery power on your smartphone: turn off location services and GPS, turn off data synchronization, turn off mobile internet and Wi-Fi.
Obviously, however, in this way, the smartphone becomes a simple mobile phone so it would be appropriate to go deeper into the matter in identifying the cause of the battery discharging too quickly.
The problem is to be found in some apps that run out of battery power by discharging it too quickly .
These specific applications can be used to diagnose the apps that kill the battery on an Android smartphone .
1) Wakelock Detector, of which I have already spoken, useful to find out which app consumes the most battery on Android.
Unfortunately, this application requires root access on Android Kitkat smartphones (version 4.4).
Wakelock detector works by counting the times when an app installed on the phone wakes up the system using CPU.
Android has battery management so that when you don't use your phone, the brightness of the screen is first reduced, then it shuts down and you keep the CPU at rest.
Applications and games can use wakelocks to prevent this from happening, which is sometimes useful, but more often very expensive from an energy point of view.
Wakelock Detector checks the number of wakelocks and then creates a list of those who use smartphone resources the most, filtering between partial wakelocks (CPU is on but screen off) and full wakelocks (CPU active and screen on).
The apps that keep the smartphone more active and wake it up longer than necessary will therefore have to be terminated or uninstalled.
2) GSAM Battery Monitor is a free app, which does not require root except for the wakelocks counting functionality we mentioned earlier.
The monitoring feature of this app allows you to find out which apps are killing the battery of your Android smartphone using different tools.
You can therefore take a quick look at the use of the battery based on the calls, the time on the screen, the WiFi activity and, with the App Sucker, get more detailed information on the CPU usage including the wakelocks.
GSAM also has built-in graphs and also monitors battery temperature, phone signal and consumption rate.
3) Kaspersky Battery Saver is another very good free app to find out which apps kill the battery on Android.
4) AccuBattery is finally an application that monitors the energy consumption of each element of the phone giving, after a few days, a complete statistic that allows you to easily identify the applications that kill and end the battery charge more quickly than the others.
If the indications of these three applications do not help or if in any case an insufficient battery life is found, another type of application can be installed, those that manage energy in an intelligent way, among those indicated in the article on Android apps to save cell phone battery .
