Customize the Android navigation bar

Most Android phones have a navigation menu at the bottom with fixed or almost on-screen buttons, which are used to go back, to return to the main screen and to view recent apps for multitasking.
These buttons are roughly the same on every phone and there are no options to change them, unless you go to install a particular app.
While in another article we saw how to change the function of the Home keys, back, recent apps and volume, this time we find out how to customize the navigation bar by changing its appearance on Android, both with root and without root (which is already possible on some smartphones LG and HTC).
The app to install to customize the Android navigation bar, the one with the Home, back and multitasking keys, on smartphones not unlocked with root, is Navbar Apps .
After installing the application, the first time you start, you must touch the word Enable to go to activate accessibility permissions.
Once done, the Navbar application allows you to select a custom color for the navigation bar and you can choose the one you want without limitation (using the Static Color option).
You can also make the color of the navigation bar match the color of the app you are using ( Active App ).
In this case there is an option button to add apps to a list which is ignored in the automatic color setting of the navigation bar.
The nicest thing is the subsequent options, one that allows you to view the battery charge level on the navigation button bar, the other to draw it in a nice way, with a fantasy image.
For both options you can touch the gear icon to configure the appearance of the charging bar, whether small or large, white or black and to select the image you want to see on the background of the buttons.
Overall, the Navbar app works well, albeit with a limited set of options.
If you want even more customization you need to have Android unlocked with root and install a special application called GravityBox, which is one of the best Xposed modules.
Another similar application, which works without root, to customize the Android navigation bar is NavBar Animations, which allows you to choose animations of different types under the lower buttons of the phone.
Finally, Navbar Customize Android is also excellent, which allows you to create a new navigation bar on your Android phone customized with buttons of your choice and also with an animated image or even some lines of text.
