When Google launched its social network, Google+, it hoped it would become a Facebook competitor. In an attempt to achieve this miracle Google cannot be said to have not used tricks to force people to sign up for Google+.
In practice, it linked Google+ to different services such as Google Search, Google Maps, Gmail, Blogger and even Youtube where you cannot comment on a video without having a Google+ profile.
Unfortunately for Google, Google+ is far from being a Facebook competitor and is only used by web insiders to promote their sites on the search engine.
Many who do not use Google+, but have found themselves registered even unwittingly, can deactivate and delete the Google+ profile to delete it from Gmail .
UPDATE: Google + will be closed in 2019 by deleting all profiles.
To do this first, you can authorize the deletion of the profile and all data related to it on the page //plus.google.com/downgrade .
