Browse the Internet in 3D with Firefox or with a three-dimensional browser

One of the things that Windows users envy of Linux is Compiz, a surprisingly futuristic way of managing windows with a three-dimensional cube. Even if it is only a graphic embellishment that does not add anything to the use of programs and the computer in general.
On Windows, the same type of effect can be obtained through other programs that enable Compiz-style virtual desktops, with 3D effects.
For the Internet, however, the most beautiful effects can be obtained for Google search where the results appear with the previews of the sites arranged like sheets in a three-dimensional space.
If you like this type of effects you can install a plugin on Firefox that enables 3D viewing while browsing the web .
SpeedDial is an extension for Firefox that adds to the normal navigation, a management of 3D tabs within the browser . It allows you to easily scroll through all open tabs with various three-dimensional visual styles. Easy to install and fun to use, although not essential and very aesthetic, it can become comfortable to be faster in browsing the cards and not getting bored while on the internet.
FoxTab is one of the best addons for Firefox and when you install it, it adds a button on the top bar that enables viewing in three-dimensional space. There are also several additional functions that make it a tool that is not only aesthetic but also useful:
- The management of the 3D cards allows you to scroll through the websites opened with the mouse wheel.
- There is a " My Top sites " function which allows you to add your favorite sites in a single screen and open them with a click.
- The top sites view can be set as the start home page when you open Firefox.
- Recently closed cards can be reopened.
- You can change the background color or put your own image.
- You can organize the 3D space in different ways, with the tabs side by side, one above the other, oriented from right to left or vice versa and so on.
When Firefox restarts you will notice a new button at the top, near the box that enables 3D view. From the FoxTab home screen, you can change the visual styles using the buttons on the bottom right and you can access the options by clicking on the wheel on the bottom left. Among the preferences we have 5 tabs with various options. General: to configure the new default tab, where to show the Top Sites and how to view the open tabs. Interactive Mode: where the start keys, the visual style and the signal icons are configured. Flip Mode: in this tab you configure the key combination to scroll through the tabs, their size, the background layout and when not to launch Foxtab. Display: contains the display options and the orientation of the three-dimensional space.
Advanced: other options regarding animations, grouping of tabs and any filters.
For each website, by right-clicking on the empty space, a new menu item appears which allows you to add the current web page to the top sites, that is to Foxtab's favorites.
If you want to see a website in 3D, with Firefox or any other browser, you can use the bookmarklet of the 3D It site, very nice visually
A web application called SpaceTime, instead allows you to surf the internet in 3D from any browser without installing anything . Practically, when you do a Google search with Spacetime, the results are presented in groups of 5 or 10, like 3D cards that can be browsed with a mouse click. The search results are then previewed and just click on the chosen tab to enlarge it and view it like normal browsers.
