Google has just released a new free app on iPhone and Android called Toontastic 3D, which is used to create personalized cartoon stories, leaving creativity free, for the enjoyment of children, and even adults. The app is truly special, beautiful to look at and use, with colorful and nice graphics and, above all, ease of use that allows you to create animated stories without frustration and without having to struggle to understand how to do it.
The app, in reality, is not new, had already existed for some time, but this 3D is the first version released by Google, which some time ago had acquired the company behind Toontastic.
Opening the application you just have to start creating a new story, choose whether to make a short, medium or long story, select the scenario from those available and then the characters .
Scenarios and characters can also be drawn from scratch using the app, with an integrated drawing tool.
The available characters can instead be customized by changing the colors or putting our face (taken with the webcam) in place of that of the character.
At that point, he starts shooting the video as if he were the directors of a film.
At the clapperboard, the recording begins and you can then move the characters with your finger to make them move in the scenario and make them talk.
The app records our voice so that we can make the characters speak and interact with each other or to act as storyteller.
As for the voice and expressions, after pressing stop on the scene, you can choose the mood, or the feeling that the characters must express.
You can also add photos of yourself to customize the protagonists of the animated film and use soundtracks.
By completing the various scenes, you can then complete the story and create a real cartoon to be reviewed and preserved.
