Network control and verification on IP and Email addresses with eToolz

Many network tools allow you to check IP addresses and network settings . Some of them are specific, others instead, those that allow you to do more things together, are often complicated and not very useful for normal users who do not work in the network field.
Among the most useful and interesting programs that can be found, eToolz becomes one of those indispensable portable tools for obtaining any type of basic information on a network and making checks that can be useful to everyone, not only to experts and professionals. eToolz is a small portable and light program that includes a total of 10 network tools, allowing you to perform numerous operations directly from its automatic interface.
The portable application is mainly dedicated to helping network administrators to verify and solve problems. It also contains features that can be useful to everyone, including verifying the existence of an Email address and Whois to find out who a website is and where it is located .

The free eToolz tool for Windows can be downloaded for free and requires no installation. After extracting the 7z file, you can launch the eToolz.exe file to enter the program.
Since at the beginning eToolz is written in German, you have to click on the menu Extra -> Language and set the Italian language.
Network experts will recognize some of the most common commands including:
- Traceroute to trace the path of network packets from one point to another (or from a site to your computer).
- Ping to see if an IP address is reachable.
- DNS to see details on the server used by the computer for name resolution (see how to open the internet faster with the fastest primary and secondary DNS on the network).
- Local computer to know the IP address and name on the network of the PC in use.
- Time server with which the computer time is synchronized (see Precise and synchronized computer time on Windows)
- View installed and available network cards and related IPv4 statistics.
The other tools are dedicated to the web and to those who work with websites:
- HTTP Header to see the response of the server hosting a website and the HTTP headers for a URL.
- PageRank to check the value of the Google PR regarding a website.
- Whois to see who owns a site, who registered it and where the office indicated by who owns that site is located.
As seen in another article, there is also another excellent program for tracking where a website is located, time and path to reach it.
Finally, you can click on Email Check to use the validity tool of an Email address to be sure that an email address exists, before proceeding with sending a message to that address. It is also useful for understanding if an address is wrong in case an email goes back. The tool is among the best out there although it works with some like Gmail and not others.
In the program interface, write the email address to be verified and, if you wish, also enter the name of the sender or the server. By clicking on the Start button, the program tries to establish a connection with the selected Email address to see if it answers and exists. In some cases you can also know if an email address exists but cannot receive emails because it is blocked or because it is full.
For more details regarding the existence of email addresses, you can read the article " Problems sending Email: if the email goes back or if an address does not exist ".
