Windows 10 immediately because after July 29 you pay

Those who were waiting to install Windows 10 convinced that it would be free forever or in any case for a long time (I personally thought it would be so) must now make a decision, because Microsoft has announced that the offer of Windows 10 free for those with Windows 7 and 8.1 ends on 29 July 2016 .
This means that after this date, those who want to update their PC by changing the operating system will have to pay to buy Windows 10 which in the Home version costs 135 Euros.
The only exception is for those who use technological devices for those with disabilities or handicaps (read about this here)
UPDATE: Currently you can still have Windows 10 for free after July 29th .
The free upgrade offer to Windows 10 has been a positive move for Microsoft, and also obligatory given that with Windows 8 it was a big sales failure.
Windows 10 is an excellent operating system, significantly better than Windows 8, a must for anyone who has Windows 8.1.
The doubt remains for those who have, however, Windows 7, which remains a lean and simple to use, stable and reliable system.
As, however, already written in the article "who should switch to Windows 10", only those who have a Windows 7 PC could give up this opportunity and continue to use the old operating system for several years to avoid any hardware compatibility problems and software.
Not to mention that there are really many people in the world who have a pirated copy of Windows 7, for whom the free update does not work.
Conversely though, Windows 7 ends support in 2020, which isn't that long.
My advice, for all those who have a regular and validated license of Windows 8.1 and Windows 7, is to not miss the opportunity to install the latest version of Windows, Windows 10, which works very well and has numerous features in more than Windows 8 and above all Windows 7.
Also consider the fact that Windows 10 remains a good investment (free until July 29, 2016) for the future, because it should be the last of the Microsoft operating systems for PC and that there will not be a Windows 11, at least not in the short term (the the next update of Windows 10, which should arrive in July, will be free for all users).
For those who still have doubts, for those who have postponed until today and for those who want to know more, I refer to the series of articles dedicated to the latest Microsoft operating system that explain everything there is to know and even more:
- How to download Windows 10 for free
- How to install Windows 10 even from scratch
- Best and worst features of Windows 10
- Answers to all questions about Windows 10
Microsoft also announced that Windows 10 is now installed on 300 million devices, including tablets and PCs.
According to the statistics of diffusion of operating systems, if Windows 7 is still the most installed in the world (50%), Windows 10 has risen to second place, with 15% in April 2016.
Among other things, Microsoft also said that Windows 10 is the operating system with the highest customer satisfaction.
