The worst apps that slow Android down from the start

AVG has published a fairly complete report that talks about Android applications and, specifically, which are the worst apps from different points of view: those that slow down Android the most, apps that consume too much battery, apps that take up more memory space, apps that consume more internet traffic.
These are practically those applications that start automatically when the phone is turned on, which are constantly running in memory, which connect to the internet in the background to download information whenever the network is available and which grow over time creating temporary files and cache data.
It shouldn't be a surprise to know that the first app guilty of a drop in performance of every Android smartphone is the one that everyone has, the official Facebook app, which is getting bigger and bigger and more and more predominant.

The worst app is therefore Facebook which grows larger with each update and always remains active even when not using the smartphone, consuming more memory and battery than any other application.
I had already advised those with a slower phone to uninstall the official app and to use alternative apps to Facebook.
The other worst Android apps, the heaviest ones, are Facebook Pages, Instagram and Samsung Chat On, Facebook Messenger.
They are apps that slow down Android also the Google Play Services framework on which many apps are based and that cannot really be deleted and the Samsung firmware update service, which constantly checks that the user has performed the update (if it is not done).
Among the apps launched manually by the user are reported as heavy on the Snapchat system, Spotify, Amazon, Line and some games such as Candy Crush Saga.
This report, however linked to the American market, however, leads us to analyze the apps installed on our phones to find out which of them occupy more memory and more internet, causing slowdowns to the Android system .
To do this, on Android 6 MarshMellow, just go to Settings -> Memory and scroll through the list of apps that have used memory in the past few hours.
On the other versions of Android you must instead go to Settings -> Apps and swipe to the right or left to see the apps in use.
In one case or another, as seen in another article on how to manage active apps in Android, processes and RAM of the mobile phone, terminating those apps is useless if you want to use them and the only way to limit their impact on general phone performance is to uninstall them completely.
If for Facebook we have seen the alternatives, for other Messaging and Social applications it is necessary to decide if they are necessary or, if they are never used, if they can be removed.
For Samsung ChatOn and other apps that can't be removed, we've seen how to delete (disable) the pre-installed apps from Samsung or LG or HTC or other Android smartphones .
Surely you can remove useless apps like antivirus and various Cleaner Masters or similar which instead of optimizing the phone often do the exact opposite.
Also pay attention to weather apps if they are heavy and update continuously (usually in the settings you can decide how often to update).
There is however a way to reduce the impact on the battery, on the network and consequently also on memory, by limiting the data in the background .
This option prevents the chosen apps from using the data network even when Android is in standby, when the phone is connected to the internet via a data network and not in WIFI.
This option is mainly used to not exhaust internet data usage on Android and is found in Settings -> Data -> Options key .
Another way to limit the memory consumption of heavy apps is to manage the automatic start of these when the phone is turned on.
On some smartphones such as ASUS Zenfone, the Startup Manager is present as a pre-installed app and allows you to disable the automatic start of the apps.
On other Android smartphones you can install the app to optimize Android All In One Toolbox which contains, among its many tools, also a Startup Manager.
